How did you get involved in travel?

"My grandparents and parents are originally Hanoian, so am I. But the funny thing is I was born in Tien Giang – a province in the Southeast of Vietnam – while my mom went on a holiday. It seems like my destiny is all about travel, here & there. I have been a travel consultant since 2016, meeting a lot of foreign travelers and sharing interesting traveling experiences. "

"Once when I was traveling in Da Lat (a city in Vietnam Central Highland) with my friend and we were on a motorbike heading to a restaurant for lunch. We got in the wrong direction and were completely lost but decided to follow the faith. Then suddenly we drove past through a large pine forest which was so stunning that we forgot how hungry we were and enjoyed the spectacular view the whole afternoon. So it's not always bad luck when we got lost while traveling. "

Overall very pleased. Tour guide’s English at times was difficult to understand. Interesting that all our female guides English was excellent. Only glitch was not getting the correct room in Hanoi the first four days we were there. Loved the Vespa tour with Ang, Trevor, and Brian! Too many multi course lunches. Next time we would do lunches all on our own to discover more local food.

Hanoi is a busy city. Hanoi Pearl is located on a side street so not as crazy as other streets. Close to the lake and many roof top bars, which are very fun.

Not fair out of Ninh Binh but seems miles away. Small outside sitting area to see countryside. Nice pool area. The best food!

Wooden boat, small group, less that 25 people-11 rooms. Kayaking was such a quiet to experience our surroundings. Kenny was the MC of our trip and great at his job.

This is a must do. We rode with “ The ride of Your Life” Ang was our guide and Trevor and Brian our drivers. What a blast! Yummy food. Amazing being in the traffic but we felt safe with our drivers. Train street was so fun. Touring around Hanoi on a scooter was great!

Minh was our driver for several days. We communicated with translation app. We was always waiting for us. Tee was our guide for several days in the countryside. He challenged us with a few hikes but it was worth it. Beautiful scenery.

Au Lac Charner puts you right in the heart of things. You need to be prorated the chaos that is Saigon - the scooters, the blocked sidewalks, it’s amazing and terrifying. It’s not the fanciest but we enjoy it.

This is a nice hotel (the second one we stayed in while visiting HCMC). It is very “western” like so we are a bit torn in our review. Our first 3 nights were in the Babylon Premium Resort and Spa that we booked outside of KimKim. We liked the location of that hotel better but you have to prefer to be right in the mix. La Siesta was more sedate, fancier and had a lovely breakfast spread. It really depends what you are looking for.

The restaurant for lunch was nice and introduced us to a few local dishes. We were surprised when we had to pay the the beers we drank during lunch. Given that we had spend thousands on our tour with KimKim, it was a surprise to have to pay the equivalent of a few US dollars for our beverage of choice.

The weather made the activities a bit challenging. The kayak trip was poorly supervised - not sure how just one person is supposed to take one group swimming and the other part of the group to the beach. The kayaks were wet when we got in them and we only got wetter. The hot ginger tea on the way back to the boat sure hit the spot.

This was a fun afternoon/early evening. Our guide, Chuong, was a lot of fun. He took us to some great spots we would never had dared enter to try some local (delicious) Hanoi dishes. Strange again that we had to pay $5 USD for two beers when spending thousands on our tour.

First visit to Vietnam but I have used Kimkim many times for other vacations.
Our planned Minh did a very nice job communicating with us and guiding us to an excellent 9 day long trip Hanoi to Saigon, including Minh Binh and Halong Bay.
The local tour company guides were excellent and the communication on the ground was great, no lapses or misunderstandings.

Well kept hotel, very nice grounds, very closed to town (quite walkable). We were there New Years Eve and the gala buffet dinner left a lot to be desired. I cannot comment on the non-holiday food options or quality but I was definitely unimpressed with the kitchen on the Eve and New Years Day. Food rather tasteless and not kept very warm. Breakfasts also did not have the variety of fresh fruit I expected from a hotel in the fruit producing country.

Outstanding service, rooms so well prepared and comfortable given this is a rather small ship. Chef prepared amazing meals in a confined space. So tasty, good portions and variety. He was easily able to accommodate diets that were fish only or meat only. This overnight was probably the highlight of the trip.

She was exceptional, punctual, and knowledgeable. The weather was really nice, toured the capital, enjoyed coffee at train street (intense). Pu Luong is what the name stands for very nature and beautiful. Ninh Binh-Tam Coc is also beautiful, need to go to mua cave which has the 500 steps, it is worth it.
Went on to Bai Tu Long Bay (Renea Cruise) it was great to have met other people from different places since this was the only group tour for us.
Next was Hoi An, our tour guide Nhat was great and knowledgeable. We visited the Tra Que Village and Hoi An tour. Rode a bike through rice paddy and around village. Although it rained that day it was still exciting, we wore a poncho so that helped. Ba Na Hills- Golden bridge is a place to go and see.
Last stop is Ho Chi Minh City. Our tour guide was Ching, he was also amazing and knowledgeable. We did the Can Gio Mangrove tour, there is also monkeys there too.
Seen the bat swamp and crocodile reserve and fed them too. Thank you all!

Other than some small issues with air conditioning in some of the hotels not functioning, we enjoyed our hotels, food, outings and guides. Some of the highlights included the overnight cruise on Capella Cruises on HaLong Bay. As well as our night Vespa tour in Ho Chi Min. We had custom clothing made in Hoi Ann and saw spectacular rice terraces and scenery. We ended the trip relaxing on the beach in Nha Trang which was beautiful! We were given a great overall taste of Vietnam and look forward to returning one day! Thanks to Minh for truly making this a trip to remember!! So happy to have found KimKim Travel!!

Very rustic and our air conditioning didn’t work for the night we were there which was not great since we had spent a long day hiking in 40 plus degrees. Not much to do but was fine for a night in between other locations.

This overnight cruise was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Beautiful boat and was not too busy at all when we went. Views of surrounding are spectacular. Went kayaking and enjoyed the top deck and delicious food!!

Beautiful hotel located right near the private beach. Huge pool! Enjoyed our stay here. It is very quiet as it is away from the main part which was appreciated after a long stay in Vietnam. Enjoyed delicious food, great beach where we rented floats and snorkeling equipment! We had a great time and was a perfect end to our 2 week trip in Vietnam!!

Our 13 day experience starting in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), followed by a day trip to the Mekong Delta and Ben Tre, then on to Hoi An with an add on cruise to Ha Long Bay, and finally Hanoi was nothing short of amazing!!! All of the tour guides spoke excellent English and went out of their way to make our experiences meaningful and special! The drivers did not usually speak much if any English, but were well versed in how to navigate all types of traffic without any mishaps. Our contact at Kim Kim and the tour guides kept in constant contact with us so that we always knew the daily schedule. We had enough "free time" in each of the areas to explore the sights and sounds on our own. We can't say enough positive things about the entire adventure!! My youngest son and I will forever be grateful for this trip of a lifetime!!!
