Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Bali, Transfer to Ubud

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) Arrival Airport Meet and Greet
Welcome to Bali, a truly perfect destination for honeymooners

Welcome to the Indonesian island of Bali, an ideal destination for a romantic and adventurous escape. After you arrive at Denpasar International Airport, you'll be transferred to the charming town of Ubud to check into your hotel. Surrounded by green rice terraces and tropical forests dotted with ancient Hindu temples, Ubud is considered the spiritual center of Bali. Get the lay of the land this afternoon by hiking along the easy and scenic Campuhan Ridge Walk or exploring one of the many galleries in Ubud's thriving art scene.

If you'd rather relax and rejuvenate after your long flight, Ubud is also the ideal spot, with its plethora of wellness spas, yoga centers, and meditation retreats. Get a traditional Balinese massage, take a yoga class with a view of the jungle, or soak in a flower bath by the river. End the day with a sunset on the beach, hand-in-hand with your partner.

Day 2: Bathe the Elephants, Visit Bali Swing & Tegalalang Rice Terrace

Bathe the Elephants
Wander through the famous rice terraces near Ubud

Start today with a once-in-a-lifetime experience as you prepare to spend the morning at a nearby elephant sanctuary. This local refuge in Ubud allows you to interact with these gentle giants in their natural habitat while learning about local conservation efforts. The trip's highlight will be bathing with the elephants, where you help lead them to the water and splash in the refreshing river.

The adventures continue with a visit to Ubud's mesmerizing Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a UNESCO-listed landscape of verdant terraces carved into steep hillsides, and a truly romantic spot for honeymooners. Hop on the Instagram-famous Bali Swing, get an aerial view of the terraces from a thrilling zipline ride, or walk through the paddies to get an inside look at traditional Balinese farming techniques. Tegalalang is also home to several traditional Balinese villages, where you can witness local life and culture up close.

Day 3: Floating Breakfast, Balinese Spa Day, Romantic Dinner

Floating Breakfast
Enjoy a true Balinese honeymoon special: a floating breakfast

Begin the third day of your romantic getaway with a luxury floating breakfast at your hotel. Relax in your picturesque pool or on the edge while enjoying the fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, and juice, stunningly presented on a specially-made floating tray. Take your time in this indulgence, then head out for a day of spa treatments.

Relax and rejuvenate in a traditional Balinese spa in the incredible jungle setting, accompanied by local music and ingredients. While there, try reflexology, body scrubs made from local herbs, aromatherapy flower baths, or acupressure. You can also enjoy a traditional Balinese massage, a luxurious body wrap, or a revitalizing facial—each treatment is designed to awaken your senses, relax your body, and restore harmony to your soul.

End the day with a romantic dinner for two, either candlelit in a garden or in a lovely restaurant overlooking the picturesque rice terraces. Whichever you choose, you'll enjoy the view, gourmet dishes made from locally sourced ingredients, and delicious wine.

Day 4: Volcanoes, Temples, Caves, Palaces & Monkeys Around Bali

Visit Kintamani
Discover one of Bali's unique water temples, Tirta Empul

This morning's adventures start with a guided tour through one of Bali's most picturesque highland regions, Kintimani, at the base of the famous volcano, Mount Batur. Explore the ancient shrines, hot springs, farm stands full of fresh fruit, and the UNESCO-listed Batur Geopark, which showcases the region's geological history. Your guide will then take you to nearby Tirta Empul, an ornate water temple compound that has served as a sacred site for over 1,000 years. Bring swimwear and a change of clothes to join the many locals who come for ritual purification beneath the waterspouts that pour into a series of sacred bathing pools.

Continue with a visit to Goa Gajah, also known as the Elephant Cave. This mysterious Hindu temple is thought to date back to the 11th century and is known for its intricate carvings and otherworldly rock formations. Enter the cavern through the monstrous carved "mouth," then discover the surrounding fountains, statues, and pools. After exploring the cave, return to explore the Ubud Palace, also known as the Puri Saren Palace, with its well-preserved Balinese architecture and lovely gardens, for a traditional legong dance performance, a nightly occurrence.

Your final stop of the day is the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, a popular tourist attraction in Ubud. The forest sanctuary, established in the 14th century and sacred to the locals, is home to over 700 long-tailed macaque monkeys. Learn about the sanctuary's conservation efforts, observe the monkeys in their natural habitat, and even feed them. Also home to several temples, you can walk through the forest to visit these intricate shrines while monkeys wander free. At the end of the day, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Ubud.

Day 5: Transfer to Menjangan via Munduk Waterfall, Explore

Transfer from Ubud to Menjangan via Munduk Waterfall Trekking
Trek to the scenic Munduk Waterfall hand-in-hand with your partner

Today your guide will pick you up for the transfer to Menjangen Island, a small islet located about 5 miles (8 km) off the coast of Bali. But first, you'll visit a few more of Bali's most famed beauty spots along the way. Hike through the heart of the Balinese jungle on your way to Munduk Waterfalls, passing through lush green landscapes, tea plantations, and rolling hills.

Join hands to swim below the cascading 82-foot (25 m) falls, then continue on to nearby hot springs surrounded by nature. From here, your driver will take you to the coast, where you'll hop on a ferry for a quick trip to the beautiful island. You have the rest of the afternoon to just the two of you, so you can rest at the hotel to rest or explore this hidden gem together.

Day 6: Snorkeling in West Bali National Park

Snorkeling in Menjangan
Snorkel with your partner through the clear waters around Menjangan Island

Spend the morning snorkeling and boating around West Bali National Park and in the world-class reefs off the coast of Menjangen Island. This is one of the best areas in Bali (and the world!) for snorkeling, offering an array of marine life and pristine beaches. Your boat trip includes a local-style picnic lunch onboard or on the beach if the tide is right.

In the afternoon, take a boat trip to the idyllic White Island just off the coast, join local fishermen for their daily catch at sunset, snorkel right off the beaches around town, or join a volleyball game on the beach. Short walks near the town will take you to viewpoints of the ocean and Java volcanoes and offer ideal sunset-watching spots for an ideal way to end this romantic day.

Day 7: Menjangan Island Discovery: Free Time to Explore

Free Time in Menjangan
Dxplore more of Menjangan's dry land today
Today, you'll have free time to enjoy your last day on Menjangan. In addition to its underwater attractions, the island is also known for its dense forests, which are full of hiking trails and ideal for spotting local wildlife such as macaque monkeys or Menjangan deer (the island's namesake). Bird enthusiasts should visit the Bali Starling Breeding Centre to see the rare birds and learn about conservation efforts. If you're craving relaxation, Pemuteran, just a short boat ride away, is a charming village with a romantic beach chock-full of amenities and the perfect spot to while away an afternoon.

Day 8: Transfer to Seminyak via Tanah Lot & Taman Ayun Temples, Explore

Transfer from Menjangan to Seminyak via Tanah Lot Temple and Taman Ayun Temple
Visit one of Bali's most beautiful temples, Tanah Lot, set on an island in the ocean

Check out of your hotel in Menjangen this morning and catch the boat back to Bali. Upon arrival, your driver will be waiting to take you to the vibrant coastal town of Seminyak, located on the island's southern coast. Along the way, you'll stop at the iconic sea temple of Tanah Lot. This 16th-century temple, dedicated to Balinese sea gods, is dramatically perched on a wave-lashed rocky outcrop and only accessed via a narrow causeway during low tide. While there, enjoy the views, meet the sacred monkeys said to protect the temple, or browse the few on-site shops for local handicrafts.

Continue to nearby Tabanan to visit Taman Ayun, a UNESCO-recognized temple dating back to 1634 and part of a renowned rice field. Explore the sprawling complex that makes up the temple and the large surrounding moat with your guide.

Finally, you'll arrive at your hotel in Seminyak, known for its pristine beaches, vibrant nightlife, and luxury resorts. Take the remainder of the day to explore. Spend time lounging on the beach under the colorful umbrellas at Seminyak Beach, experiencing the white sands at Double Six Beach, or enjoying the beach clubs at Kayu Ayu Beach. Participate in water activities like surfing, taste the worldly flavors on Eat Street, get a foot rub and a hair trim at Bali Barber & Spa, or pamper yourself at one of the many beachside spas.

Day 9: Day Trip to Nusa Penida: Beaches, Angels Billabong & Crystal Bay

Visit Kelingking Beach
Tour the sites of Nusa Penida, considered one of Bali's honeymoon hotspots

Today's full-day tour introduces you to the gorgeous nearby island of Nusa Penida, one of Bali's most iconic honeymoon spots. Meet your guide for a quick boat trip to the island. Your tour will start at the clifftops of Kelingking Beach, where you can overlook the horseshoe-shaped bay and take in magnificent views from both sides of the cliffs. These rocky outcroppings resemble the spine of a giant dinosaur, giving it the nickname "T-Rex Bay."

If you're lucky, you may even spot manta rays swimming through the clear water. Adventurous travelers can walk down a steep, slick path to the sand at the foot of the cliff. The effort is worth it, as this spectacular beach is rarely crowded. Depending on the tide, it may be possible to swim, but your guide will make sure currents are favorable. Continue to Broken Beach on the island's west coast. The cove's feature and namesake is the archway that wraps around the bay, allowing water to flow in and out from the ocean.

Then it's onto Angels Billabong, a natural rock lagoon carved into seaside cliffs known as "nature's infinity pool." The short hike to the clear turquoise waters gives you exhilarating ocean views and the lagoon. Enjoy a swim in the calm waters, but only at low tide—at high tide, the waters get too rough for safety. End the day at Crystal Bay, a quiet little stretch of sand that is one of the most beautiful beaches on Nusa Penida. Snorkel in its clear waters and enjoy a freshly harvested coconut on the beach.

Day 10: Morning Visit to Uluwatu Temple, Sunset Drinks at Rock Bar

Visit Uluwatu Temple
Visit the jaw-dropping Uluwatu Temple overlooking the Indian Ocean

Today takes you to the spectacular setting of Uluwatu, also known as Pura Luhur Uluwatu. This Hindu temple perched on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean was built in the 11th century and is dedicated to the Hindu god of the sea, Dewa Baruna. The temple is also home to a large population of monkeys, who are considered sacred and believed to protect the temple from evil spirits.

Explore the temple grounds and learn about the history and traditions of Balinese Hinduism. While there, you'll also witness a kecak dance performance held on the temple grounds. This Balinese dance and music form originated in the 1930s in Bona and is performed by male dancers who use their bodies and voices to create a mesmerizing rhythmic chanting sound.

Catch your final sunset in Bali from the famous Rock Bar in the town of Jimbaran. The bar, designed in a modern and minimalist style, is accessible by a steep cliffside tram or stairs. The views are more than worth the trip! At a table for two, watch the sun slowly melt into the ocean as you enjoy live music, entertainment, and creative cocktails.

Day 11: Depart Bali
