Thanks Sotiria for an helping us plan an amazing trip to Iceland!
We had such a great time there and are so pleased we ended doing all the fun things you suggested. The waterfalls and the ice cave were the highlights of the trip!

Goody and Ziggy showed our group parts of Iceland that few tourists get to experience. We climbed to the bottom of a large crevasse on Mýrdalshreppur Glacier and had the whole location to ourselves. Ziggy gave us a personal tour of Midgard Base Camp and Goody introduced us to the owner of Hotel Ranga whose entertaining stories were “mostly true”. These personal touches made for an amazing trip.

He drove the mini van and told us about every location we went. Rhenar really brought Iceland to life for us—telling us all about the volcanic activity, the glaciers, the ego-thermal areas, and so much more. He even entertained us with stories of Icelandic folk-law. He really knew his stuff. Our group was just 13 people—the perfect size. We stopped between sights for amazing photo opps—of course its hard to take a bad picture in Iceland. People say Iceland is expensive—but between Rhenar taking us to get affordable sandwiches for lunch and finding out of the way restaurants in the evening —I'd say it's well worth the trip.

The trip Zeynep put together for us was AMAZING. Everything was organized for us in a folder with our vouchers and itinerary ready to go. IcelandAir Hotel Marina (king attic room) was a great place to stay. Our Game of Thrones tour with Gray Line was fantastic. The 2 Day South Coast Tour (with waterfalls and ice caves!) and Snæfellsnes tour (with beautiful lava fields, glaciers, and volcanoes) were outstanding—both of which were recommended to us. She also recommended some awesome book stores and local spots for our day in Reykjavik and none of them disappointed.

We only had 2 hours at the blue lagoon, and I would recommend at least 3 hours or so if you get premium admission like we did. The restaurant takes a while so we only got less than 30 minutes in the lagoon and had to rush to shower and dress before our driver came to take us to the airport. Thanks for encouraging us to go Zeynep, even though we weren’t sure...it was definitely worth it!!

Zeynep and kimkim did a great job putting our honeymoon together...thank you!!

Fortunate enough Mr S was outside the airport and was able to find him by asking few people outside the airport. Only problem during the trip and after such a small issue everything was just planned perfectly.
Preeti, Halldor and Herbert all were just great with everything from very beginning stage of the trip planning.
Even tour guide Jenn during glacier walk was very carring and knowledgeable.
Marcin, during ice cave tour just perfect. Due to very windy condition 70MPH+ wind, when every tour company cancel the trips, was able to take us for the tour on the glacier.
Both Jenn and Marcin, I would definitely recommend to request of them for anyone who is planning the trip. Both are great helping hands for having 5 female ranging in age from 17 to 47.
Having only 4 hours of daylight, Trip was planned very well. Driving on the south coast starting from Eglissdir and ending it in Reykjavik by staying in nearest hotels of the activities we requested to do such as Glacier hike, ice cave tour and snowmobiling.
Visiting Blue Lagoon on the day of our departure was just perfect before the six hours of flight home.
I strongly recommend to use Kim Kim team of Preeti,Halldor and Herbert for trip of beautiful Iceland. We will definitely use them for our future trip to Iceland in Summer months to experience midnight Sun.
Though we were unfortunate for not being able to see the Northern Lights as it was the warmest December in 17yrs informed by receptionist at hotel Ranga one the hotel we stayed. We will have to visit Iceland winter month also.
After visiting so many different countries, i can say Iceland is one country that we will be taking trip to in different seasons over and over again, such a BEAUTIFUL , PEACEFUL COUNTRY full of fresh air.
Thank you Preeti, I will contact you again for my future trips to Iceland.

Everything planned worked out perfectly without a single glitch. Our guide and transportations all showed up and were timely and professional. I highly recommend staying at the Bubble and experience it at least for a night. It was one of the highlights of the trip. When we visited the South Coast's glacier tongue, lagoon and Diamond Beach, glacier caves and is when we truly felt we were in Iceland. Tip: Go to the glacier lagoon at sunset, order your beer or hot cocoa and watch the sun set. Beautiful. Thank you for putting together a wonderful itinerary for us. Takk!

We were very lucky to have Laufey as our travel specialist, she was extremely helpful and patient with my specific requests and ended up creating a travel itinerary that was perfect to our needs! They even covered some costs for us due to some small misunderstandings. We're very thankful for that plus the great trip that we had!

From landing to departure everything was taken care of. We were picked up at the airport by a private driver, taken straight to our hotel and Laufey even prepared a very detailed guide for our self-directed day tour around Reykjavik.

On the second day, we were picked up by Jón, our Icelandic Mountain Tours guide. The bus only had a total of 6 people (including Jón) but yet they still proceeded with the tour. The weather was insane that day, with crazy winds. Lots of day tours were cancelled. Lucky for us, Jón flipped our tour backwards and did tons of research to make sure our transportation to the Golden Circle was safe. The winds were very very strong, and Jón focused on the drive to make our safety the utmost priority. Our entire group was crazy jetlagged so we had a difficult time staying awake while he was explaining history/geology/etc., and we feel so remorseful for that!

The next two days we drove even further, went to the Glacier Bay, Diamond Beach, and also did a glacier walk and ice caving. I highly recommend the glacier walk on Skaftafellstofa! We also admired the Black Sand Beach, waterfalls, and gorgeous views, before ending our private tour with Jón and heading back to the capital.

We were also scheduled for snorkeling at the Silfra as well as the Blue Lagoon.
I have so many great things to say about this trip and the way Laufey planned it out for us! From start to finish everything was done perfectly and left us with little to worry about.

Thank you so much!

We enjoyed the Lava fields, Diamond beach, hot pods near Reykjavik and of course a spectacular Northern lights near Vik. The drives in Iceland were very beautiful and how can we forget the horses and FLUFFY herd of Sheep. Our trip to Iceland coincided with our 35th wedding anniversary and my two month recovery from hip replacement surgery. We had a slightly rocky start as the ride from the airport didn't drop us off at the hotel but instead at the bus depot, a 20 dollar ride to the hotel. Because it was a special time for us I booked the Icelandair Reykjavik Marina hotel for 4 nights so we could enjoy the city and its sights and cuisine. The hotel was fantastic and perfectly located. The room I booked came with a social hour that included free wine and beer and snacks which took a little of the edge off of the expense of Iceland. I hired the kimkim team to plan the next 4 days and they came through with a spectacular agenda in the Golden Circle and the South of Iceland. They arranged for the rental car, three hotels, and forwarded the agenda which included google map directions, vouchers for a zodiac boat tour of the ice lagoon, and an ice cave exploration. We were picked up in the morning to get the car. The car came with a wifi hot spot and a garmin nav device. Driving in Iceland is easy once you get the feel of the two lanes roads that become one lane over bridges. Our mapquest instructions broadcast through the radio and were perfect during our first days exploring through the glorious, sometimes strange landscape. Waterfalls and photo ops every few feet it seemed. We drove approximately 235 km on the Golden Circle and stopped at Thingvellir National Park, got drenched by an active Geyser but recovered with a mug of spectacular lamb soup, saw the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall. We ended our day at the Hotel Ranga. This was another beautiful hotel with rustic charm and amazing views, including one of the most productive Salmon rivers in Iceland right in their back yard. We continued on around the Island towards the east coast with more astonishing landscapes but at this point our mapquest couldn't find a network. Fortunately we had printed the itineraries and had the Garmin navigation device so we were ok. We visited black lava beaches, looked at seals and took photo's of icebergs on the beach before donning our survival suits and flotation devices for a zodiac ride on the lagoon. We were up close to a glacier that represents one 6th of the landmass of Iceland. The day was really wonderful but we were ready for a quiet night in our next Hotel, the Fosshotel Nupar. This was a bit of a disappointment as it was a little old and tired looking but since we booked late there were no better accommodations to be found. We were there for 2 nights. It did have a nice bar lounge that played some really great music. I should mention that all the hotels kimkim booked for us came with a full breakfast which again helped the budget from bleeding too much. The last day took us through the charming town of Vik with its lovely red and white church standing over the town and from which one had spectacular views of the ocean and the surrounding landscape. We drove through miles of lava fields, the largest in human history, that was other worldly! We took our time, visited the Bridge between the continents where the Euroasian and the American tectonic plates meet. I had to cancel the ice cave adventure as it involved some climbing which my new hip just wouldn't allow. Kimkim were gracious enough to refund that portion of the trip and we were very grateful. It gave us a little more time to drive to the most geothermal area of Iceland and feel the heat! We also at some point went to a waterfall that had a rainbow in front of it for hours and one that we walked behind. Our last night was at the Hotel Berg near the airport for our return flight the next day. Iceland is one extraordinarily beautiful country and we picked what must have been be nicest 8 days in the year. It was sunny every day with only one having a mild rain squall. Unfortunately it was cloudy at night so the only time we saw the Northern lights was on the plane as we approached Iceland. Just an excuse to return. So thank you Preeti, our kimkim travel coordinator, and her colleagues, and kimkim itself for helping us make memories.
