Pros

• The infinity pool is pretty impressive, overlooking the sea and surrounding a historic tower—plus, there are plenty of places to lounge. 
• Besides sea views, you can also enjoy the incredible vistas of Ibiza's Old Town, topped by its castle and cathedral, and the island of Formentera. 
• This beachfront hotel is near a sandy stretch and just a 10-minute walk from a slightly more swimmable beach, Platja de ses Figueretes.
• All the hotel's rooms have balconies, with many offering sea views (or views of the distant mountains). 
• Some higher-tiered rooms have terraces or sundecks with an outdoor bathtub or hot tub.
• The buffet restaurant serves meals throughout the day and offers outdoor seating with beautiful views. 
• If you'd like to exercise at the hotel, the gym is open 24/7, and there's a cycle center where you can borrow bikes or tune up your own. 

Cons

• The hotel is vast and doesn't quite fit the laid-back Ibiza vibe—plus, with 230 rooms, it can get a little busy and noisy. 
• Though the rooms are comfortable, they seem plain and a little outdated, so the hotel doesn't live up to that luxury tier despite having five stars. 

Authenticity

Torre Del Mar's name translates to "tower of the sea," and an 18th-century brick tower that once held a windmill sits directly on its property. As the hotel's focal point, you can't miss this historical landmark, preserved and now surrounded by the infinity pool. It was also where sailors stopped on their journey from Ibiza to Formentera. 

Location

You'll find Hotel Torre Del Mar in Playa d'en Bossa, an area just south of Ibiza Town where many of the island's famed clubbing occurs. Though not in the city center, you can still enjoy views of Ibiza and its historic castle and quickly drive there in 20 minutes or walk along the coast for 30 minutes. You'll be directly on the sea, along a tree-lined street, and next to a sandy beach famous for volleyball. 

Rooms & Bathrooms

The rooms have a very clean, bright, and simple aesthetic. All have balconies overlooking the sea or the distant mountains, though upgraded units add spacious terraces with outdoor bathtubs, sundecks, and/or Jacuzzi tubs. Groups or families can book connecting rooms or one of the duplexes, which features a bedroom on the top floor and a sofa bed in the living room. 

Other Highlights

The outdoor pool surrounding the ancient brick tower is a definite highlight, lined with sunloungers and offering views of Ibiza's castle and historic walls. The on-site buffet restaurant offers outdoor seating along a glass wall, so you get uninterrupted sea views while you dine. There's also a tapas bar and poolside bar in the outdoor garden. Other amenities include a 24-hour gym, bike center, and spa.
