Hotel Vík í Mýrdal, Vík
Modern hotel with double and family rooms, mountain views, a bar, and an Icelandic restaurant
Spacious room and its convenient to local restaurants in supermarkets.
Restaurant was delicious!! Rooms were small but nice. Location was great- easy walk to shopping and quick drive to many activities.
Clean, modern, and friendly staff. The hotel’s restaurant was great! We had the artic char and lamb shank, both were delicious!
Beautiful hotel. Beautiful rooms. Blackout curtains do a great job. Laundry service available which was great!
Overview
The 70+ rooms are clean and modern, featuring neutral tones and pops of design like contemporary lighting fixtures and art. Standard options can feel tight and are on the ground floor with limited views, so consider booking a Superior or Deluxe Room for more space and clearer views of the landscape. Triple and family rooms are available for larger parties, and while some are on the ground floor, you can enjoy views from various points in the hotel. Bathrooms include rainfall showerheads, while rooms offer amenities like blackout curtains and northern lights wake-up calls.
Besides its convenient location, Hotel Vík í Mýrdal's strength is also in its facilities. Previous kimkim travelers have highlighted its restaurant Berg as offering particularly tasty fare, while the bar is a cozy spot to enjoy a drink and mountain views. The free parking lot is a bonus for those exploring southern Iceland by car.
