Le Palais Gallien Hôtel & Spa, Bordeaux
Modern hotel in a historic building offering a spa, a gym, an on-site restaurant, and rooms with private Jacuzzis
Overview
Le Palais Gallien Hotel & Spa, a historic property in Bordeaux's center, offers an intimate stay in the city center. The hotel, which dates back to 1895, was built as a private residence, and throughout the years, notable families of the region have lived here. Eventually, Le Palais Gallien Hotel & Spa was born after a property extension. You'll be just a 3-minute stroll from Palais Gallien, a historical landmark, and seven minutes from St. Seurin Basilica. The Garonne River is 20 minutes from the hotel, and the route passes attractions such as Monument aux Girondins and Placette de Munich.
In contrast to the property's historical attributes, the rooms at Le Palais Gallien Hotel & Spa are modern and elevated. They offer garden or city views, and some rooms have private terraces. The interior decor is contemporary, with black and white elements contrasting against deep brown wooden floors. The bathrooms are fully equipped, with exposed showers or tubs and double sinks. The Prestige Jacuzzi Room offers an upgraded stay with a private Jacuzzi and terrace. Suites are also styled in contemporary fashion, and the ultimate upgrade, the Montesquieu Suite, features pops of color, a cinema room, a sauna, a kitchen, and a private elevator. This suite is ideal for two and includes a wine and spirits cellar, terrace, dining room, and a sensory shower.
For dining, the hotel serves breakfast in the common areas, but you can also enjoy your meal on the terrace or in your room. La Table de Montaigne, the hotel's restaurant, offers natural products and great classics for lunch and dinner. Led by Chef Younesse Bouakkaoui, the venue aims to provide an authentic dining experience by incorporating local tastes and colors of the four seasons. For relaxation, you can also visit the spa with various treatments or perhaps the hotel's gym if you want something more physically active.
