Yndo Hotel, Bordeaux

Yndō Hotel is a 19th-century private mansion renovated as a lavish property near Bordeaux's downtown area. The building blends traditional French architecture with contemporary furnishing and decor. You'll be just six minutes on foot from Basilique Saint-Seurin, an 11th-century basilica with a crypt containing a marble sarcophagi. The Garonne River is a 21-minute walk from the hotel, and along the way, you'll pass other attractions such as Monument aux Girondins and Placette de Munich. If you walk an extra 10 minutes along the river toward Pont de Pierre, you'll arrive at Miroir d'eau, one of the largest reflecting pools in the world.

Crazy rooms are loud and bold, with an elevated Bohemian look, exposed beams, wooden features, and stone elements. Suites offer a more upgraded stay and provide larger sleeping and lounging areas. Sofas are organic and velvety, while the large desks provide a good reading space.
