Our family had an amazing trip to Sorrento and Rome, Italy. Everyone we met was kind and helpful. I want to thank all the people who helped us get to all our stops on our itinerary. The drivers, Luigi, Vincenzo, Carmine, & Tony were on time and always ready to give us help on navigating our trip.
Our guides, Emma & Carlo (Mt Vesuvius), Giovanni (Pompeii), Lucca (Path of Gods), Vincenzo (Vatican) were all extremely knowledgable and friendly. Our boat trip to Capri with Antonino was amazing. Lunch and wine tasting at Tenuta San Francesco winery in Tramonte, the wine and food prepared by the family was a once in a lifetime experience. Lunch and wine tasting in Pompeii with Salvatore was wonderful. The pizza making class at Al Grottino in Rome with Tony and Julia was fun and delicious. The staff at our hotels, Hotel Capodimonte Sorrento and 47 Boutique Hotel Rome were so helpful with directions and dinner reservations. A final thanks to our trip planners Fabio, Lisa and Daniella, you thought of everything and we enjoyed all of it!

Wow, wow, wow!! Sonia planned an incredible 17 day trip for me and my family. We wanted a mix of athletic adventures, cultural highlights, and exploring off the beaten path - and boy did she deliver. We started at a spa in Lake Garda, hiked in the Dolomites, biked through Tuscany, had amazing local guides in Verona, Venice and Rome, and the hotels we stayed in were superb. The vineyards and small towns in Chianti we visited were spectacular, our drivers were informative and the food everywhere was divine.
I would absolutely recommend Sonia and kimkimtravel.

This was the best hotel of the trip. The location was fantastic because it is relatively quiet but an easy walk or bike ride to several nearby towns. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was superb. The spa had a variety of pools, saunas and steam rooms to choose from, all included in with your stay. I would love to visit again.

Our local guide, Giorgio, was fantastic. He took us on an8 mile hike with several gorgeous waterfalls along the way. Our lunch at the mountain top hut was very tasty and impressive. We definitely left this hike wanting to return and doing a several day backpacking adventure in the Dolomites.

Firstly, I have to give a huge thank you to Andrijana. She not only helped me put this absolutely amazing journey to Venice, Florence, Pisa, Sorrento and Rome with my grandchildren possible but she was able to secure me the best of rooms in all the hotels I had requested. Our tour guides were amazing and I got compliments from them on my grandchildren re how they listened, responded to questions and never once used their cell phones for texting only for taking pictures. Our drivers were polite and always there on time to take us to our destination. Venice and Sorrento were are absolute favourite places to visit. Our hotel in Rome was absolutely exquisite and relaxing after a full day at the Vatican and St. Peters Basilica Tour. This holiday was absolutely perfect, all to the thanks of Kim Kim and their wonderful Traveller Support Team at Travel 12. I want to thank Elena and Marianna for picking up the pieces of my trip when Andrijana left - you did a superb job making this trip so easy for me with literally no stress. My grandchildren and I had a trip of a life time. Thank you and I most definitely will be using Kim Kim again for my next adventure.

Everything was very well planned for us. We did a lot in a small amount of time. We enjoyed the different locations each one having a different vibe and things to offer. The guides were very good, Maria- Paula in Rome, Santi at the Vatican, Simona in Florence, Antonio in Pompeii. Each guide was different in their approach and added to the experience. All the private transfers were very good and relaxing and the drivers were very skilled. Thanks to Andrea for a great itinerary. We especially enjoyed the hospitality of Manuela at the hotel Villa Della Palme, she really looked after us. We would definitely recommend KimKim to friends and family.

Our 12-day trip to Italy was wonderful! I recommend Eleni at kimkim 100%.

Our Group:
We had four kids (aged 5, 6, 7, & 8) plus two sets of parents, and three grandparents. So we had a total of 11 people. One of the adults had limited mobility in walking. The tour was very personalized to our group. There was a special focus on engaging the kids so they would enjoy the tour.

Our Specialist:
Eleni was our specialist and she really knew exactly how to plan a trip for our specific groups. She took into consideration our budget, our needs, and our interests. It didn't feel like a generic tour, it felt very personalized to us. She was very responsive and helpful at all times. I can't imagine a better person to plan our trip. She took care of everything.

The Hotels:
We stayed in hotels in Venice, Florence, and Rome. All three were excellent, with fantastic rooms, fantastic breakfast, and fantastic service!

The Experience:
We had a series of tour experiences in each location. Every tour guide was knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating to the needs and interests of our group, and kid-friendly. We especially loved day trips, the scavenger hunt-style tours for our kids, and the activities we had in each location: Mask making in Venice, Gelato making in Florence, and Mosaic making and pasta making in Rome. The transfers were seamless.

Overall:
Members of our group regularly looked at each other and said, "Can you believe how fantastic this tour is?!" We loved every aspect of it. The kimkim team was super responsive. When we had questions or little issues we could contact them and get help immediately. Once we got off the plane in Venice, up until the final transfers to the airport in Rome on the very last day, everything was so smooth. We were completely taken care of every step of the way, through three major cities and multiple day trips. We had no stress. The tour was the perfect pace for our group. We all loved it!!! Additionally, I priced out a 12-day Italian tour for our group through several tour companies before choosing kimkim, This tour was the best value of all those I priced out. Kimkim is now my go-to tour company.

Eleni planned an amazing trip to Italy for my family! Everything from the planning stages to the spectacular trip start to finish was superb. The experiences were so enjoyable and engaging for the whole family (4 teenagers included)- especially the private tour guides through Rome (Giovanni and Lorenzo), Pompeii (Mina), and Naples (Frederica). Each one had great personality and local insight. We learned so much, laughed a lot, and had a ball. My favorite part was a stunning and breathtaking boat tour of the Sorrento and Amalfi Coasts with our skipper, Paolo. Another highlight was the pasta making class with our wonderful chef, Leo. Each hotel was perfect and unique with an attentive and helpful staff. Our drivers were always on time, pleasant, and had lots of local insight. We had a little mixup on our trip back but the KimKim team handled it immediately. It was so helpful to have extra people from the team available to help if we needed anything during the trip. This was our first time using KimKim, but we plan to use the service again in the future. It was so easy to communicate with out agent, Marianne, and we had a wonderful trip to Italy.

We were easily able to share what our desires/plans were, including specific dates and locations, and what types of activities we wanted to do. Marianne and her team put together a great itinerary that covered what we requested. We were able to stay in contact with Marianne even after booking to make small changes (our flights were changed so that we arrived earlier and were able to request an additional tour the afternoon we arrived). Additionally, when one tour was canceled due to the leader testing positive for COVID, Marianne immediately contacted me with new arrangements for another tour. We were greeted at our first hotel with our printed vouchers, itinerary, and even souvenir books for the two areas we visited in Italy. One of the easiest parts of the trip was that our hotels and train travel was booked, as well as private tours, so we didn't have to worry at all about these details once we were in the country. Additionally, with the private tours, we skipped the long lines, which in addition to the phenomenal tour guides, was well worth the cost. We look forward to using KimKim to book a similar trip in the future!

The location of the hotel was great- very close to the train station, and within walking distance of many of the central Rome attractions, and even had a variety of restaurants all around the block. The toilet didn't flush well, and didn't improve after we informed staff, but there happened to be an extra bathroom near our room for the meeting rooms, so it was fine. The breakfast was large, and erred on the side of boring and Americanized, but was good enough to start the day. The air conditioning was very welcome!

Martina did an amazing job! We had a tour with Martina from RomeGuides the day before at the Colosseum and Forum, and touring with her a second time was a great experience. She was able to connect the history we had experienced at the Colosseum and Forum with all (SO much) we were seeing at the Vatican. Rather than just going through room by room and pointing out art, she wove a story that pulled everything together, culminating in the papal suites. We do wish we had had more time to see the modern art collection at the Vatican museums (which we didn't know existed until Martina briefly walked us through), but there was so much to take in, we would have probably needed another tour!

What a wonderful journey! We had a great time in Italy and this was the least stressful travel experience I have ever had. Our travel specialist Tasos thought of everything. We had such a wonderful trip. Thank you so much for your help. The trip you designed for us checked all of our boxes. Additionally, the service you provided was excellent. When there was an issue (i.e., train delay), you informed us immediately and made sure all impacted plans were rescheduled. You were easily accessible whenever we had questions.

All of our guides and drivers were very kind and helpful. We did have one driver (the one that received us in Rome the first time) that was not very nice. The train was delayed and he seemed upset. He's the only driver that did not offer to help us with our bags. Additionally, he dropped us off at the wrong hotel (thankfully, the correct hotel was only a few doors down the street). Other than that, everything and everyone was excellent.

Thank you very much for a memorable experience. We look forward to planning another trip with you soon.

Very nice location. The staff said we were in a "bad neighborhood" but we did not experience anything bad. Staff was extremely helpful and the room was extremely nice. Getting into the hotel was challenging at first but, once inside, we just used the back door when we came and went.

Wonderful way to see the Amalfi Coast. Our train into Amalfi was late which caused us to be about an hour late for this ride. However, the driver was extremely nice and waited. He took us to some amazing places. Very romantic!

Private Transfer with Self-Guided Pompeii & Mt. Vesuvius Hike

Vesuvius hike was very cool. Very windy at the time and the hike was very steep, but it was nice and the views were incredible. Pompeii was incredible. We do wish we had a guide for Pompeii to tell us more about it (we just walked around ourselves) Driver was incredibly kind!

Jessica is a wonderful specialist with whom to work. She was flexible, adaptable, knowledgeable, and planned a great trip. We had a whirlwind time in Italy--visiting 5 cities in 8 days--so a lot of the exhausting parts were based on our own desired itinerary, not something Jessica suggested. We lost a half-day in Venezia due to a late train out of Verona, so please be mindful of tight connections (we had a 22-minute window, but the train was 15 minutes late, meaning 7 minutes to de-train and run through throngs of people, literally to the furthest possible platform away...train pulling away as we arrived). Cost an extra $250 to rebook a later train. Had a less than ideal tour guide for the Colosseum and Forum in Roma (hard to hear, very difficult to follow), but that is the fault of the tour company, not KimKim or Jessica. On our food tour of Napoli, we were asked to purchase food and drinks, which we did not even want. When doing KimKim tours previously in Greece and Croatia, the guides covered all expenses, including tips, so we hadn't planned for that in Napoli. The guide was good, and we had been delayed to meet her, so we didn't complain about paying for the food.

Best parts of Italia adventure were: (1) in Napoli, the Hop On Hop Off Bus is a great resource; the panoramic line is beautiful and takes you to a lot right next to the Nuevo Castle. Highly recommend taking a tour of the castle. We ate at Antonio y Antonio in Napoli and hadca fantastic experience. (2) Roma--the private tour of the Vatican was incredible, but be absolutely certain you report to the Museum area! We were responsible for finding transportation to the tour that started at 830AM that morning. We couldn't get a cab for almost 25 minutes and then were dropped off a full mile from where we were supposed to be...we were a full hour late to the tour, and thought we'd missed the opportunity, but fortunately, another guide was available. Our 87 year-old father is very mobility challenged, but the Vatican gave him a wheelchair and wonderful treatment, so he could experience his lifelong dream. Also, highly recommend a golfcart tour of Rome! We left at sunset, and saw the majestic city with a fantastic guide in the cool evening air, with the lights illuminating the hostoric sights. (3) Elba's Hotel Fabricia. Take a boat tour with Claudio and relax inside a secluded, lushly tropical, historic resort. Paradise once you arrive. But, please note that ferries are not ADA accessible and all luggage must be carried by passengers up and down multiple flights of stairs. This part of the trip was harrowing for the mobility-challenged member of our party and I ended up very injured by a terrible fall, trying to manage both the bags and my father-in-law. (4) Verona. Everything about Verona is magical. We managed our own tours while there and recommend the cathedral package which allows you access to several stunning historic buildings, including the Duomo. Dining at Osterio il Bertoldo with Italian family was the highlight of our stay. Also, the room at Hotel Mastino wss a superb choice for anyone traveling with a child(ren); they get their own room and TV in the suite. (5) Venezia- We were again responsible for making our own way to the Hotel Carnival Palace, which quite a way from the train station. A porter transited over bridges and cobblestone streets with our bags ($30), but for the mobility-challenged, water movement is easiest. We used water taxis and a gondola (both very costly ($70-180), but necessary) to do most sightseeing and to get to the airport.

All-in-all, a trip of a lifetime. Although sometimes harrowing, over-budget, exhausting, and while still sporting some serious bruises from my fall on the ferry, I would do it all again in a minute.

Absolutely perfect for families. Our teen son had a loft with his own bathroom, table, fridge and AC. Our room had a large bed, bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Location is not great. Would rather have been near the water, but overall lovely experience.

Andrea at KimKim was wonderful to work with in planning and during the trip. I appreciated how quickly he responded to my text questions.
The hotels chosen were perfect for us all with very accommodating staff: Porto Roco in Monterossa, the Belvedere in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, and the perfect location of the Pendini in Florence.
Our one suggestion would be to advise travelers in Cinque Terre who aren’t familiar with train travel, to just hop on the train when it stops and not worry about the “assigned seat” listed on the ticket. Trying to get through the crowd to our assigned car, we missed the train. The train stops for a very short time!!
I highly recommend KimKim. Andrea planned a wonderful vacation for us. Thank you!
