Authenticity
Hotel Campo Verde Hotel is a jungle property that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The hotel has 12 cabins, each providing a sense of privacy and immersion in the rainforest. The cabin's wooden interiors add warmth, tranquility, and authenticity while offering a glimpse of the Arenal Volcano.
Location
This is a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel's location near the iconic Arenal Volcano provides you with truly memorable views and access to the hotel's own nature trail. You'll stay in the Palma area, which is almost equidistant from downtown La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano National Park, about 15 minutes away by car.
Rooms & Bathrooms
Campo Verde Hotel offers simple and rustic cabins equipped with a mini fridge, coffee maker, and your choice of beds (one king or two queens). If you opt for a king room, you'll also have a living room-style setup with a sofa, chair, and table. The rooms are simple in design, providing just the basics, but they're known to be very clean and feature a terrace where you can sit and enjoy volcano views. The bathrooms are also quite simple, offering both a shower and a separate bathtub. Just note that a faint humidity scent is present due to the area's climate and construction materials.
Wildlife
The property is surrounded by nature. Travelers can see wildlife on the hotel's 0.9-mile (1.6 km) Las Pavas trail, including hummingbirds, monkeys, and butterflies.Amenities
There's no pool, spa, or gym here. Campo Verde's main highlight is its nature trail, meaning you don't need to drive anywhere to explore the surrounding rainforest. The hotel's commitment to minimal light pollution also allows you to stargaze on clear nights. Some rooms are designed for travelers with reduced mobility, with single-level entrances with no steps and floor-level showers.Family-Friendliness
The hotel is popular with families, and kids up to age four stay free; kids five and up are charged the adult rate. There are no specific activities or menus for kids, but the hotel is accessible for strollers. The best family rooms are villas with two bedrooms and a sofa bed; there are no cribs or cots for kids. The nature trail is a popular feature for families.Other Highlights
Hotel Campo Verde doesn't have a restaurant or a bar, but a breakfast buffet is served from 7 am to 9 am in a dining room that faces the volcano with views through the large windows. There are Costa Rican breakfast items (beans and rice with eggs), continental breakfast (toast, cereal, jam, yogurt, and pancakes), and fresh fruit. Snacks are sold in the hotel lobby.Like what you see?
