Pros

• The location is perfect for walking around the charming streets of Santanyí, but you'll also be close enough to the coast to drive to the Cap Salines beaches in about 20 minutes.
• As a historic property, you'll stay in a mansion dating back to the 1600s and once owned by a prominent local family. 
• The rooms are very classy, and many offer private or semi-private outdoor spaces, like terraces or balconies. 
• Despite being in the city center, the property has a big garden, an outdoor pool and sundeck, and a relaxing spa. 
• You can choose from two restaurants for your meals, one by the pool and the other with a nice option for outdoor dining. 

Cons

• There isn't much to do in the town, so if you'd like to enjoy activities outside the hotel, you'll likely need a rental car or private transfers. 

Authenticity

Originally a 17th-century mansion owned by the Bonet Family, the proprietors of Can Ferrereta transformed the building into a luxury hotel focusing on architecture, design, and art. You'll find plenty of reminders of the past here, including exposed beams, stone ceilings, vaults and arches, a traditional Mallorcan courtyard, and a reproduction of the original shepherd's home in the garden. The interiors feature art, craftwork, and design by local creatives and famous Spaniards. 

Location

Can Ferrereta is in the historic core of Santanyí, surrounded by beautiful architecture, restaurants, and cafés. You'll be just around the corner from the town's main square and church, Sant Andreu de Santanyí, but this location is also great for exploring the scenic southeastern side of Mallorca. A 15-minute drive takes you to the popular swimming spot at Caló del Moro, and the string of beaches along Cap Salines is just 20 minutes away. If driving to or from the airport in Palma, plan for about 40 minutes.  

Rooms & Bathrooms

All rooms offer a bright, clean, and elegant space with big, comfy beds and large windows with views of the property or Santanyí. Many units have private outdoor spaces, like terraces with sunloungers, and the suites add unique perks like separate bedrooms, free-standing soaking tubs, loft spaces, sofas, and/or king beds. One suite has a private pool, a large garden area, two terraces, and a living room. 

Other Highlights

The hotel features a beautiful garden of native plants and trees surrounding an outdoor pool and sundeck. You can also relax in the spa, exercise in the 24/7 gym, or grab a bike in the cycling center. You'll find two restaurants at the hotel, one by the pool serving unique snacks made with local produce and artisan cocktails. The other eatery, Ocre, has indoor and outdoor dining and offers a menu with upscale versions of traditional Mallorcan and Mediterranean cuisine.
