ICON Rosetó, Mallorca
Simple yet stylish hotel in Palma's historic center with an outdoor terrace and rooftop pool
Overview
Kimkim's Take
- The hotel's location is prime, as you'll be in the city's historic core yet on a quieter cobbled street.
- For a standard hotel, the rooms are very stylish and come with modern bathrooms, warm decor, bathrobes, and slippers.
- You can book a suite to stay in a more historical room and enjoy a larger private balcony and seating area.
- As a historic building, you'll enjoy lots of authentic charm and can relax in the preserved courtyard, which is where the hotel serves breakfast.
- There's a bar and a small plunge pool on the rooftop terrace, which offers nice city views and a few sun loungers.
- Some of the standard rooms are a little small compared to other hotel rooms, so you might want to upgrade to a superior room to have adequate space.
Authenticity
The hotel strives to bring Mallorca's natural elements into your lodging experience with water, stone, and wood. You'll also stay in a historic building, once a nunnery that preserved its beautiful inner courtyard, stone archways, wood-beamed ceilings, and well.Location
Though right in the heart of Palma, ICON Roseto feels relaxed, tucked away on a narrow side street. You'll be nearly surrounded by popular sites like Placa Major, La Rambla, Passeig del Born, and Placa Mercat, all less than five minutes away by foot. The Catedral de Mallorca is a 10-minute walk, and you can stroll to the city's beach, Platja de Can Pere, in about 20 minutes.Rooms & Bathrooms
With just 34 rooms, ICON Roseto offers three types of units, all with warm, cozy, and inviting decor. Even the standard double rooms are stylish (though a little small) with perks like bathrobes and slippers. Grab a superior room for more space and a terrace, or opt for a suite to add a seating area and historical elements like raw, wood-beamed ceilings.Amenities
On the hotel’s rooftop, you’ll find a small, unheated plunge pool with sweeping panoramic views over the old town. The rooftop area also has a few loungers and bar seating overlooking the hotel's inner courtyard. Drinks can be ordered from the courtyard bar and served by the pool. There is one wheelchair-friendly room and an elevator that accesses all floors.Family-Friendliness
Although the hotel predominantly caters to adult guests, children of all ages are welcome to stay. However, rooms are on the small side, most with an occupancy of two, but baby cribs can be provided free of charge. Larger families will need to book more than one room. There are no amenities catering to families with kids.Other Highlights
You’ll find the hotel restaurant in the lush, green inner courtyard, where breakfast–included in the room rate–is served in the morning. The hotel also offers bikes for rent. Another great hotel feature is that it is pet-friendly, accommodating guests traveling with dogs and cats.Like what you see?
