Cons

• The highest-tiered rooms have nice terraces with loungers and sunbeds, but the artificial grass and closeness of your neighbors might reduce the appeal. 
• Some furnishings, including the room sofas and bed skirts, feel outdated and a little worn. 

Authenticity

The owners used the hotel's setting directly on the beach to focus on a truly Mallorcan and Mediterranean theme. You'll find this emphasis in the common areas, which promote relaxation, such as at the spa and outdoor pool with its sun terrace, and authentic cuisine, like at the multiple restaurants and beach club. 

Location

Set right on one of Palma's most popular beaches, Hotel Nixe Palace overlooks Cala Major and gives you direct access to its sandy shores. Though you'll need a rental car or private transfer to get to the center of Palma (a 15-minute drive), you can walk to the Joan Miró Art Museum—set in the artist's former studios—in just six minutes. 

Rooms & Bathrooms

All rooms at Hotel Nixe Palace are comfortable, warm, and inviting, with rich tones, desks, seating areas, marble bathrooms, and city or sea views. You can upgrade to sea-facing rooms with balconies or large, furnished terraces. Suites add perks like sofas, Jacuzzi bathtubs, multiple bedrooms, and/or kitchens. Family rooms and the highest-tiered suites sleep up to five and offer two bedrooms, huge terraces, and living rooms. Though the rooms are nice and comfy, some of the furnishings feel slightly outdated. 

Other Highlights

The hotel provides an herbal spa sponsored by the brand Sisley. It has a solarium, numerous soaking tubs with spouts and jets, aromatherapy showers, a sauna, and a Turkish bath. Outside, you'll find a heated pool with underwater music and hydromassage jets. The pool bar is a great spot to grab a light meal or refreshing smoothie, and you'll find two other eateries at the hotel, both with outdoor seating. Enjoy other relaxing places, like the sun terrace next to the beach and the posh lobby with its bar lounge.
