Hotel Zenit Sevilla, Seville

4.0 (1 review) · Standard
Modern, airy hotel in the authentic Triana neighborhood with a rooftop pool

Overview

Stay in a different neighborhood and get a sense of authentic Seville, as Hotel Zenit is in the local Triana district. This area is known for artisan crafts, delicious cuisine, and some of the best Flamenco. The hotel's location lets you explore it all, including the main sites across the canal. When you need a break, enjoy the rooftop terrace with pool, bar, and sundeck, and try some of the international dishes in the restaurant. Rooms are fairly standard, though you can opt for apartments with bunk beds sleeping up to five people.

Pros
  • Enjoy a slightly unique location across the canal from Seville's Old Town and in the vibrant and authentic Triana neighborhood.
  • You'll be around the corner from Calle San Jacinto, a pedestrian street that eventually leads to the Puente de Triana.
  • Triana has some of the best Flamenco theaters in the city, so you can easily see a nightly show and enjoy endless tapas bars without even leaving the neighborhood.
  • The hotel's rooftop terrace is a highlight, with incredible views of Seville's Old Town from across the canal, plus an outdoor pool, bar, and sundeck.
  • The onsite restaurant offers an extensive breakfast buffet, plus a unique lunch and dinner menu, all served in a stylish, leafy dining room.
  • Choose from rooms and apartments, offering bright, modern, and clean spaces with the basics.
  • Some apartments have private terraces and bunk beds—great for families.
Cons
  • The hotel lacks the historic charm of the other boutique options in the city center.

Authenticity

You might be surprised to find such a modern hotel in the down-to-earth Triana neighborhood. Though the hotel doesn't give it away that you're in one of the most authentic districts of Sevilla, it offers a nature-inspired space and restaurant that serves quintessential Spanish cuisine.

Location

You'll find most of our recommended hotels in Seville's historic core, as they're best for walking to the major sites, but Hotel Zenit sits across the canal. You'll be closer to the waterfront yet still walkable to places like the Catedral de Seville, Royal Alcázar, and Plaza de España. Enjoy exploring down-to-earth Triana with its mix of craft shops, tapas bars, markets, and Flamenco shows.

Rooms & Bathrooms

Choose from various room types, plus apartments that can sleep up to five people (a great option for families). All offer bright, modern, clean spaces with neutral tones and light-wooden furnishings. Some apartments have private terraces and bunk beds, which kids will surely love.

Other Highlights

The hotel's rooftop terrace is a highlight, with incredible views of Seville's Old Town from across the canal, plus an outdoor pool, bar, and sundeck. Enjoy breakfast at the onsite restaurant, which also serves lunch and dinner in a cool, hip dining area.

As part of the kimkim team, I had the opportunity to enjoy a stay at the Hotel Zenit in Sevilla. This hotel and room were clean, with a contemporary design. The hotel features a spacious rooftop terrace that provides stunning city views with a swimming pool for the warmer days. I visited in February so I did not make use of the swimming area, but did enjoy evening drinks at sunset. They also have a ground-floor restaurant terrace situated away from the street in a secluded area, allowing you to enjoy a meal in a quiet outdoor space surrounded by a natural atmosphere. I made use of this space on days when I wished to work from the hotel or enjoy a quieter moment with a coffee. Do be warned that you will need to reserve a table on the Terrace during the weekend as it does tend to fill up. The hotel personnel were notably welcoming and eager to assist. Anything I needed, I was able to gain access to with a simple request.

The hotel is located in the vibrant Triana neighborhood. A stay in Triana offers an authentic glimpse into everyday local life, culture, and culinary delights, all within a short walk from the hotel. I spent most of my time meandering through narrow streets looking into shop windows and sitting at cafes watching local life pass by from the perfect vantage points. They have many authentic Tapas bars in the neighborhood, almost one on every corner, with no shortage of local eats. The city center is accessible with a pleasant 20-minute stroll across a picturesque canal. There are also many nice seafood restaurants and bars that line the canal, on both sides, where you can grab a bite or spend the afternoon relaxing on a terrace in the sun.

While the Hotel Zenit was a pleasant stay and I would gladly return, it was my first time in Seville and I might have preferred lodging in the city center, amidst more historical architecture and proximity to major attractions. Of course, this comes with the trade-off of larger tourist crowds. However, for individuals making their second visit to Seville or those keen on experiencing the local lifestyle more intimately, the neighborhood of Triana and a stay at the Hotel Zenit Sevilla would be a great choice!

Authenticity & Character
The hotel is a modern design. If contemporary is your style then this would be a great choice. However, I prefer for historical architecture and would have preferred something designed and decorated in one of the more traditional Andalucian styles.
Location
The hotel is located in an authentic local neighborhood of Seville, roughly a 20-minute walk from the city center. The offers a lot in the way of immersion and access to local life, but lacks the architectural charm that the city center has to offer.
Staff
The staff was friendly and accommodating at every turn.
Cleanliness & Comfort
The room was clean and comfortable. I ordered room service a couple of times too and it arrived quickly and was tasty too!
