Amazing trip in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, which materialised after 5 years dreaming about it.
Perfect organisation, beyond what I was dreaming for. Small groups for excursions, our 4 guides where all amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, caring, making us feeling welcomed and privileged. A lot of small and so precious attentions, like making us arrive first in Ushuaia national park to get the beach with post office just for ourselves. We realised the chance we had when we left the place 20 minutes later, full of tourist's buses…
Perito Moreno and Esmeralda Lagoon are magic places, and each time we had all the free time we needed to enjoy the spectacular nature.

We come back from Argentina in loved with the country and its kindness.

Special thanks to Virginia and then Emilce who accompanied us on building the program and making it happening. The trip was originally planned in 2020 and postponed because Covid19. Kimkim team kept in touch all the way long and made a wonderful job allowing us to reschedule and rebuild when finally possible again for us in 2024.

The day trips in Salta were too long - they were about 10-12 hours which is too long to be sitting in a bus which is why we canceled our third bus trip.
The hotel in Salta does not have an elevator and there was no hot water in our room on the last night and morning. We didn’t talk to reception about it due to language problems.
The tour Gabriel for the walking tour of Salta was not that great, plus it was supposed to be 3 1/2 hours but it was only for one hour (which did work out better as we had been walking around Salta for most of the day).
All of the wineries that you booked for us were really great, we had some great wine and great food.
It was great being meet at the airport with a driver, that made everything so much simpler/nicer.
We will definitely use your company again and recommended you to lots of people that we met during the trip.
For the Iguazú falls - the boat ride that you booked for use was canceled so we ended up taking a jet ski boat ride, we highly recommend this ride as it is amazing - they take you under the water falls (they provide dry bags for all personal items).

Hotel Reviews
Hotel Rio Serrano
Torres del Paine

Overall this is a great accommodation and I'd highly recommend it to anyone staying near Torres Del Paine. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the views were out of this world, and the overall presentation of the hotel was on point. We only had a couple of hang ups. One was that we stayed on the first floor, and the insulation/sound-proofing is not great. We were at the mercy of the people above us stomping around and could hear every footstep. Also, there was one morning where we were supposed to leave at 11am for an excursion (our travel company and the Massif specialist both confirmed this the day before), yet that morning we get a call at 8am asking why we weren't at the pickup point at the front desk area. That turned our one chill morning into a frantic dash to get ready in 5 minutes, and we were never given a clear explanation for the mixup, especially when we had confirmed it with the Massif the night before. The other issue with the Massif schedule is that they like to do their briefings at 8pm the night before. Please get rid of that or change the time! It is an extremely inconvenient time that is right in the middle of the prime dinner stretch. One night we had to wait until 8:45 to eat, and the other night we had to ask the waiting staff to hold our table for 15 min so we could come back. Either do it at 7pm so people can eat right after, or wait until 9pm so people can finish dinner prior. 8pm is the worst possible time to pick. Or just have people meet 15 min prior to departure the morning of. The last recommendation would be to have to the fitness room open at 6am. The staff was friendly and unlocked the door for me, but it seems very unnecessary to make people wait until 9am to exercise, especially when people have leave to go on an excursion or catch a transportation by that time. Again, overall we loved this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat, and I feel like a few minor tweaks/improvements would make it perfect.

All of our pickups, transportation and logistics ran perfectly and we were safe and comfortable every step of the way .

The Peru portion started with a visit to Lima and our guide Sylvie was wonderful. From there, we went to Cusco which was our launch point to 3 places - Machu Picchu, Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain and we did 3 hikes on 3 consecutive days by design as we wanted an active trip.  All 3 destinations were stunning and Machu Picchu is a special place. Lot's of llamas and alpacas too! Our guide Leo out of Cusco was amazing and we made a new local friend spending 5 days with him.

We went on to Ecuador and visited the Galapagos Islands. Truly amazing place and the conservation work they are doing there is inspiring (as are the tortoises).  Our trip ended in Quito and our guide Pablo did a wonderful job walking with us in the city and showing us the sights.

Overall, the trip was very special for us with lots of great memories. This was our second trip in 6 months to South America with Kimkim and they have both been special. My thanks to Kimkim and all the wonderful people that we met along the way!

This is my first time to Chile, Argentina and Bolivia and was excited because we travel to many of our bucket list destinations, such as San Pedro de Atacama, Uyuni, Santiago, Patagonia, El Cafalate, Buenos Aires and Mendoza. The planning process was smooth and Flor was given many local excursions for me to choose. Most of the local guides that were either picking us up or for taking us on a tour were very knowledgable and helpful. But Julio and Willie (the driver) for the 3 days tour in Uyuni are the best. They are knowledgable, caring (very important when travelling at 4700m elevation) and flexible in the plan. Our city tour guide in Buenos Aires was also very good. The local excursions included a combination of private and small group tour. Private tour was definitely more intimate and flexible. But the small group tours especially in San Pedro de Atacama were great too because we had an opportunity to interact with other tourists and had make many new friends. Before we this trip started, we were contacted by Kim Kim's operating team Julian that he would be assisting us 24/7. When we arrived in different stops, the local tour organizers would check on us and provide assistance. As for the accommodations, the hotels in El Cafalate and Mendoza are below our expectations. The staff were helpful but the facilities were dated. Overall, we are glad that we have Kim Kim planning our trip.

The hotel is off 5 mins walk to the centre. The room we had was quite small. Due to the design of the hotel, the room is quite hot and we had to open the door to allow air circulation. The hotel is a bite dated but the staff is great and helpful. The best thing of the hotel is its restaurant. The food is very good and priced very reasonable (actually, it is cheaper than the restaurants in the centre).

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere but perhaps there are not a lot of choices in the hight desert. It is dated and cold. It is cold because the hotel turn on and off the heat at certain time. They even shut off the power at night (without informing the guests). So you will not have light or wifi. Most rooms have a window facing the common corridor, when people talking in the corridor, you can hear everything. The hotel should have advised all guests to be quiet in the corridor. The dinner on the other hand is quite good.

The hotel/camp is very unique because the room is a yurt connected by walk ways to the main reception and restaurant. The best part is that you feel that you are in the nature and not being disturbed by other hotel guests. But since it is a yurt. you are subject to the nature as well because you will hear the rain and the wind (it is quite windy in Patagonia). All the staff are fantastic and helpful. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good. Many people chose not to go for activities to enjoy the facilities and lunch. In addition, the guides of the activities are also very wonderful. The only draw back for us is that we were waiting an hour at the airport for pickup even though they were informed of the plane arrival time. There is only 2 flights flying in Puerto Nateles everyday.
