We enjoyed our first trip to Italy and planning with KimKim provided us an amazing experience. Vincenzo did a fantastic job arranging our food and wine experiences, our tours and transfers. All of the drivers were courteous and on time for pickups. San Gimignano was one of our favorite places visited. Our guide for the walking food tour in Milano was very knowledgeable and the food was amazing. Unfortunately our Boat tour of Lake Como was rained out. As our driver was not cancelled in time, we were still driven out to Varenna for lunch and our driver made multiple stops for us to get amazing pictures, even in the rain. Our guide for a Walking tour of Rome, Tommaso, had interesting stories and facts about the area and we enjoyed that tour very much too.

Will definitely use KimKim for our future travels!

I personally did not enjoy this tour as much as I had hoped. The guide spoke very quickly and it was difficult for me to concentrate on what was being said while we were rapidly walking thru the streets and on the uneven paths to get to the Colosseum. The tour is very high level to show you all 3 of the places, so we did not get to see as much of the Colosseum as we had hoped. And it was so over crowded that it was difficult to move thru the Colosseum in a group.

San Gimignano was one of our favorite places that we visited. The village area has so much character. We felt like we were in a real live Renaissance fair. Highly recommend a trip to this village. Another village we discovered as Castello in Chianti, we had dinner there 2 nights. The atmosphere was awesome.

We loved our trip. The guides were amazing and very knowledgeable. kimKim was available when we needed help and responded quickly. Overall our experience was great.

I asked Irene (KimKim's Travel 12 partner), for a trip with a fair amount of twists and turns and accommodations for my companion and myself. We traveled from Nice to the Italian Riviera, then on our way to Venice, made stops in Milan and Verona. Yes, a travel-packed route. In Nice, Irene fulfilled my request for a hotel in Old Town Nice with exactly what I wanted, ie, a hotel, The Hotel Rivage, that was perfectly located in Old Town and close to the Promenade and the Rue Massena, a more upscale area in Nice. In short, all the areas we wanted. From there, we went to the Italian Riviera, and Irene suggested that we stay in Camogli, a city we'd never heard of. That suggestion was golden. I wanted originally to stay in Genoa, and Irene, knowing I was looking for beauty and not a working port town, guided me to Camogli, which was gorgeous. The hotel there, The Cenobli dei Dogi was the best hotel we've ever stayed at. Yes, it's not easy to get to (I mean, it's high on the southern coast), but the superior level of service there, and the exquisite room and view were unmatched by any hotel we've ever been to. It was VERY impressive. Katarina, Izabella and Claudia took great care of us there! When we asked for a taxi ride to Portofino (an enclave dripping with money and beauty), they had it arranged promptly. And the food at the Cenobli! Really, really good! Irene also arranged a day tip to Genoa, where we were treated by Paola, a Genoa native, to a food tour of authentic Italian food at Genoa's most popular open market. Paola was friendly with us and the various food shop owners, all of whom seemed to know her. This familiarity lead to quite a few "samples" for us, all delicious. Thank you, Paola! At the end of our stay in Camogli, we were then driven by Stephano, a sweet, wonderful, very patient man, who took us on our complicated, illogical trip from Camogli to stop for an hour in Milan, then stop again in Verona where we spent a few hours before boarding a train (all the train and limo rides were arranged by Irene. I'm sure this trip wasn't easy to arrange, but she did it!), and then we were off to Venice. In Venice, we were met by Barbara at the train station, then escorted to a water taxi to our hotel. (Note: Barbara communicated with me often while on the train, due to the train's arrival delay, but she guided us to the right station, and grabbed us immediately upon arrival. It was appreciated). In Venice, I asked for a hotel close to the Rialto Bridge on the Gran Canal, and that's exactly what Irene arranged for us. We stayed at EGO Residence, and the location was priceless. The room was a bit smaller than we had previously enjoyed (but hey, Venice is a tight little area), and the wifi here was a bit challenging. But EGO's Eldor and Simone were very accommodating. Eldor booked us a spot at a nice, local restaurant on the canal, which I'm sure he scored due to his connections, given this was a very, very busy Saturday night, and everyone was looking for a spot at that restaurant. And the breakfast room where we were spoiled by excellent food and service by EGO's Crystal, was really delightful. We enjoyed our time here! Upon departing from Venice for San Francisco, a water taxi collected us, then a limo took us to the Venetian Airport, where we were dropped off in plenty of time to negotiate all the ticketing, baggage drop and numerous passport checks before departure. All in all, Irene and Travel 12 and KimKim did an excellent job of providing a wonderful trip to Nice and the many Italian cities. We were never left wondering where our drivers or tour guides were, and the selection of cities and activities are all well chosen. This is my second trip with KimKim (the first was Singapore, also excellent) and I'll not hesitate to partner with KimKim and Travel 12 again!

Our concierge was to meet us at 3pm at our hotel however didn’t get there until 5pm which left us a little in the lurch. However when we did catch up he was very nice and helpful. Our guides were fantastic and very informative. The only thing I would let you know is that each guide repeated much of the same stories which was a little repetitive. Loved the places suggested however by the end of the trip we were glad not to see any more churches or relics. The number of days suggested in some of the cities were spot on. I most probably would have added one extra day in Syracuse/Ortigia. Driving should really be done from midday as everything is closed so when they arrive at hotel people can walk around when shops are opened.

Beautiful hotel in fantastic location just a couple of minutes away from all the hustle and bustle. The hotel had 6 floors. Rooms were well appointed but a little smaller than some of the other hotels we stayed in. I think we were upgraded to a balcony classic room which was very much appreciated. Breakfast was amazing. They don’t have a restaurant but they do a lovely lunch and afternoon sandwiches until 6pm. Hotel had a nice small pool which was nice to relax. I believe they are building a bigger one.

Just back from a very memorable trip to Rome. Valeria set up the entire trip and it really couldn't have been better. She is a pleasure to work with and we are already looking forward to working with her for our next trip.

We had the most incredible trip to Italy. We began in Venice, traveled to Cinque Terre, went to Pisa, Florence and Rome. We had transfers planned through KimKim for each time we changed locations. It made our trip so much easier and truly hassle free. In each of the cities where we traveled, the hotels were great. We had breakfast at each. We found the hotel staff to be helpful and kind. We were blown away by the guides that Andrea set up for us. Each one was knowledgeable, friendly and great with our kids. We felt like we were able to learn so much about each of the places we visited. In addition, the kayak tour we took in Cinque Terre was beautiful. Our guide was the best! We appreciated the recommendations that Andrea gave us along the way. Working with him was such a delight. He was quick to respond, supportive and lovely to work with. Several of our guides talked about how much they enjoyed working with him as well. We will definitely be booking with KimKim again.

This was my first time using Kimkim and I can’t wait to use them again! Martina was amazing to work with. From the start, we were sure of our plans and vision for our trip, and she helped roll with all the changes and enthusiastically brought us new ideas. We truly felt taken care of and we could relax on our trip while. Rome was amazing, and every single driver that we had went above and beyond. It was very hot, and lots of things were closed or had weird hours due to the summer holiday, but we knew that all our things were pretty well taken care of because of Martina. The Colosseum especially, our guide was able to navigate all the crowds and knew all the secrets to skipping the lines and managing the heat. My family particularly loved the Gladiator experience; it was a huge hit with my son, and even my husband got involved. The golf cart tour on our first night was a great way to get acclimated to the city, hit all the major stops, and also some hidden gems, and our guide gave us so many great tips of how to spend the rest of the time in Rome (best restaurants, parks, places to hide from the crowds and heat). He even called and made us a reservation for dinner that night! We did do a food tour one night, which I think suffered a bit from some of the restaurants being closed for the holiday. But overall what an amazing experience and a great trip.

This day was really, really hot... so I think it impacted the experience a bit. Our guide was phenomenal at skirting the lines and knew all the employees at the Colosseum, so she could get us in and around the crowd which was great and a game changer for the day. She also knew more about the Colosseum and Roman history than I think anyone in the entire world, so impressive. Our 7-year-old had a hard time paying attention; it was a ton of information, and we could have used some moments to stop and breathe a bit. It felt a bit more like a lecture than a tour, and both my husband and I found ourselves forgetting to stop and look at things to just soak it in, because we felt we needed to pay attention to the lesson. She was very, very, very nice and I think would have been a great guide for an older group of people who had unlimited patience and had perhaps been there before and wanted a level 300 course.

This was a perfect addition to our trip, it helped have something that felt special to our kiddo and really kept him engaged. It was very warm, and there were lots of mosquitos, so bring bug spray! Our driver was so kind, but didnt know where we were going, so we had to circle around a bit. Then we got there over 45 minutes early before they were open, so we just sort of sat around and waited because we werent sure if there was anything close enough to leave and come back .

Fabio was an absolute pleasure to work with and booked the most incredible 2-week trip to Italy for us. We reached out with a vague itinerary and needed some guidance in terms of places to visit. Fabio was very helpful in terms of helping us narrow our focus and providing his honest assessment of what he thought we would like based on getting to know our preferences and desires for the trip. Fabio even suggested one town that we had not previously considered, which ended up being our favorite destination! He was very responsive, and overall a pleasure to work with. We had a number of calls to refine the itinerary, and each time Fabio was extremely patient and thorough. It is clear that Fabio cares about his clients and takes pride in his work. Fabio was also very accessible while we were on the trip in terms of helping to adjust dinner reservations, and even helping us to change our train tickets an hour before the departure time when we were running late. Overall, the destinations and activities that Fabio recommended were fantastic, and we loved the hotels too. We would gladly work with Fabio again, and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to plan a trip to Italy. Franscesca - Vatican and St Peter's Basilica: VERY enjoyable, and our guide was super knowledgable and passionate about her job. This made it a super fun experience. It was unfortunate that many of the areas in the Basilica were under reconstruction so we couldn't see them.

Sarah - Pompeii: One of my favorite parts of the trip. Sarah was funny, informative and extremely knowledgeable/passionate. Glad we added this at the last minute. Having a really small tour group, with just the 4 of us, made the experience extra special.

Rosanna - Naples Underground - She went way above and beyond, going to the hospital with 2 of our group, way past the time we were allotted to have her. Was so highly impressed at her professionalism, knowledge, and overall kindness.

Storywalking Team: I cannot say enough about how organized the team was, and proactive/timely in their communication. We all felt safe and in good hands the entire time!

Our coordinator, Andrea, was immediately and consistently available both before and during our visit (including the weekends!) and quickly helped to make last-minute adjustments as competing priorities dictated. Every service, including four expert tour guides (for museums, the Duomo, the Uffizi and Lake Como) were expert, polite, engaging and prompt. Every arranged driver for transitions and trips were punctual, polite and professional. And, the surprise highlight was the great "off the beaten path" experience of truffle hunting in the Tuscan countryside, and then transforming those truffles ourselves into homemade tagliatelle and ravioli pasta with locals hosts, who then served us in an outdoor balcony with a view of vineyards, farms and forests! Overall, Andrea, very well done and we were able to go at our own pace and still experience more than just the highlights, but also expert insights into our Florence, Lugano and Lake Como adventure.

Truffle Hunt and Cooking Class in Tuscany Countryside

The family and team here (3 generations!) are expert in the truffle trade, with a local farmstead with an excellent view of vineyards, farms and forests. Their well-trained and engaging truffle-hunting dogs were a hit and, within only a short walking distance, we were able to see multiple examples of the soils and trees that are best for production of truffles. We then transitioned with our guides into the "house" for our hands-on pasta making experience, including tagliatelle and ravioli including those same black truffles the dogs just found along our walk. The whole team is quite engaging and we even enjoyed getting to meet other fellow travelers experiencing the same while on their vacations. Highly recommend.

Incredible trip to Italy!! Valeria helped me plan the perfect vacation for six people. She thought of every detail and her team was outstanding! Beatrice was our faithful and delightful guide throughout the entire 10 day trip. Our drivers were prompt, professional and lovely. The tour guides we had for the historical sites were PHD level and so interesting and informative. Francesco’s tour of the Vatican even produced the Pope on our visit. Just a magical trip where I didn’t have to be the expert and waste my time figuring out the logistics. It was all done for me and as a result I really was able to enjoy. If you go with a group of couples it is best for each couple to get their own boat. The gondola guide was super grumpy and because of the balance of the boat my husband and my friends husband had to squeeze together and they were hot and uncomfortable and it just felt weird with the guide.

Our 10-day trip to Italy was a breeze to plan and book. We worked with Maria who was extremely helpful and was able to give us everything we wanted with constant changes being made; she was on top of things the entire time. All the tours and accommodations were top notch and just what we requested. Each adventure was better than the next. The tour guides were very enjoyable and knowledgeable and Rosanna, our tour guide in Naples went above and beyond walking us to a nearby hospital to check an infected bite. Without her there to help, I don't know what we would have done. The storywalking team was there at any given moment updating us and helping us along the way! Bravo!

Amalfi coast boat tour from Sorrento (Amalfi & Positano)

We saved our best excursion for last. This all day boat tour was absolutely incredible and our boat captain, The "Fonz" was super fun and made the trip memorable. Hand made sandwiches and snacks on the way around the coast to a stop at Amalfi where we had an hour to shop and experience the area. Then, on to Positano for an hour for more exploring. After that we anchored and had a leisurely 45 minutes swimming and relaxing in the Sea off the coast of Positano. Continuing back we stopped at blue grotto where we fed the fish. The very best part of our trip!
