Andrea was extremely helpful and really understood our requirements. It was very beneficial to have someone in-country to provide immediate assistance, which we did require a few times throughout the trip. He was helpful, as were the drivers and the person people who managed the AirBNB's.

The apartment was in a perfect location. The apartment was clean and well decorated. My only piece of feedback is that for a family of 5 adults, the bedroom with the trundle bed was too small for an adult and the mattress was just adequate. The room is large enough to have a double bed, or if you are going to keep a trundle, get a better mattress and then it should not have a footboard, as tall people do not fit comfortably.

We had a very good experience with Rita from initial contact to planning and booking the various aspects of our trip. There were some aspects that did not meet our expectations. For the most part, guides contacted us through What's App to confirm and clarify. This was greatly appreciated as we had some communication failures on a number of occasions. There were also times with accommodations that may have been a great property but the room location and/or size/quality missed the mark. For example...

- Baunei, La Bitta (Room overlooked the parking lot a highway but everything else was awesome.

- Balocco, Porto Cervo - Beautiful Resort but Garden view.
- Quarry Resort, Matera - Awesome but no view at all. Room was great
- Hilton DoubleTree, Amsterdam - great location from train, nice room (upgraded)
Accomodations that were far below expectations
T Hotel, Cagliari - We realize the hotel Rita wanted to book was unavailable. G7 Finance Ministers were also in town but the room wasn't great, aweful view and even the hotel staff told us there wasn't much around us. It was a good 30 to 40 minute hike to get toward the marina and places we wanted to go. We feel this choice was well below expectations even knowing the circumstances
- Masseria Francescani, Lecce
This was the first major let down. We had a tough time pulling it together to enjoy the rest of the trip. The property was interesting but we ended up in a horrible room. It was likely a servant quarters recently as it is location on it's own at the very back of the building next to the kitchen and delivery trucks. The room was very dated and cobbled together. The shower curtain rod was rusty and the room was renovation years ago to provide wheelchair access. Even the Masseria staff apologized for the room and let us know it wasn't great but they had nice rooms if we wanted to come back.
Dimore di Brando, Polignano a Mare
This was expected to be the highlight of or trip. We had 4 nights to explore the region and enjoy this area of Puglia. Major disappointment in many aspects.
Very difficult to find. Davida is a very nice man. Jodie was roaming the area trying to find the room. She called the hotel to find out where to park. Davida asked if it was Jodie as he was anxious to get in touch with us. He explained he never received contact info to guide us through the check in process. We eventually connected and they sent a staff member to the parking area to help us. Parking was about 5 blocks away which we were expecting.
When we hauled our luggage to the room it was a ground level room in one of the busiest parts filled with street merchants and tour groups passing our door. The room was a complete miss from all aspects. It literally had no windows. The door was glass and it had a port hole but if the door was blocked for any reason we would have been trapped. The bed size was not what we requested, the room was incredibly small. We smashed our heads on overhanging rock several times. It was brutal. We came close to abandoning that room for one with a terrace and view but decided to stick it out. It was tough to get past.
Tours and Activities
All booked tours and activities were excellent, we had a number of activities booked and all were very informative and enjoyable. All guides were in touch in advance for the most part which really helped with the overall experience.
There was a tapas tour in Olbia where we arrived well in advance to the meeting point but were unable to locate tour guide. After contacting you via the chat feature, we decided to get back on the road to our hotel as a major rain storm was starting. Once on our way back your team responded as to where the guide was and we realized we were right there, in the square in front of that restaurant before we decided to leave. By this time we were on our way back to hotel, 40 minute drive, and caught in a rain storm like we have never experienced. All the guide had to do was to look out into the square and see two people looking around, we were virtually the only two people looking like we were looking for something, Outside of this issue, two of our sailing adventures were cancelled due to high winds, which is beyond anyone's control.
We do want to add that the app with links for driving and sights to see was really appreciated, helped us in getting around and seeing things we probably wouldn't have seen. All contact when needed was responded to within a timely manner.
You should know we have referred two different groups to KimKim and expect another 3 or 4 friends to move forward with KimKim in the near future.

Chris took care of every detail for us. Every luxury hotel, every private tour, every limo. ride, every meal - was beyond our expectations.

Because of Chris’s patience, guidance, and knowledge, my wife, my two teen daughters and I had the best vacation we have ever been on,’m. We traveled, toured and ate our way thru 5 star accommodations throughout Italy with ease and kind interactions with all the people that Chris connected us with.

We cant wait to plan our trip to Paris in April with him.

Evening bicycle tour of Rome was incredible. The trip was very well planned and organized. The drivers that were scheduled were always courteous and and on time. Giulia is extremely knowledgeable and responsive.

Our hotel accommodations were good for the most part. We loved the hotel in Rome and the villa in Tuscany was more than acceptable. The Cinque Terre hotel location was excellent, especially the view we had from our room. I would have enjoyed a 4 star facility but believe one was not avalable.

Overall, Giulia and Kimkim did an outstanding job. We will not only use them again but will recommend them to friends.

This was my first experience with KimKim and Margaux. Will certainly not be my last. Definitely a “white glove” approach to travel service. So much so that I’m already thinking about how KimKim can help me with next year’s vacation and I'm not quite over the jet lag of my current travels.

You will not be disappointed!

We had the perfect trip to Rome and the Amalfi coast. Luca always was prompt to answer any questions and when we couldn’t find our tour guide for one of our tours, he solved the issue. We loved the hotels, locations and the food served at the hotels. The tours were great. We especially liked Pompeii and the Path of the Gods. Mathew was so much fun and we loved the fact his family farmed the region. We really have only positive memories and stories. Thank you for a trip of a lifetime.

I'm sure I couldn't have done this trip without the help of Caterina and the other guides. There are certain things I would have done differently, however had I known, and which might be useful for other travellers in the situation of pushing a wheelchair. We almost didn't go to Venice but it was actually much easier in Venice than Florence to get around. I would not go to Florence with a wheelchair again. I would also choose and bring a wheelchair with me and not rent. The one that was rented was very small and difficult both to push and for my mom to sit in. The third thing I would do is to rent 3 double rooms and not 2 triples. We rented the triples as a money saver but it resulted in my mom being in a cot in many places which is okay for a child but not for the elderly. The car and driver were very helpful in many places but at other times we really didn't need them to sit for hours while we were in a museum or even to transport us a few blocks to the museum. It was great for driving around to viewpoints though. All of the tour guides were very flexible, helpful and knowledgeable. I also appreciated having the contact of Roberta at all times which I haven't experienced on previous KimKim trips. Svetlana in Como was relaxed and flexible which allowed us to have some time to just look around. Beatrice was indispensable for getting in and out of Venice smoothly. Alessia, in Venice made the trip for 11 year old Katie, with the costume she brought and the effort she went to to engage her. Alesia's dad even helped taking photos and walking us to a restaurant. They were both so warm and friendly. Cecelia blew our mind pushing the wheelchair around and ensuring my mom's comfort. The driver in Verona was also amazing. Both of them made our stay in Verona our favourite stop on our trip. Barbara in Milano, was super fun and also great at engaging Katie. We had the trip of a lifetime and made unforgettable memories with my mom, whose life long dream of visiting the homeland of her grandparents was finally realized.

The staff at the rooftop lounge were fantastic with my mom - so helpful and kind but the staff at the front desk were useless and didn't seem to have any idea what was going on. We spent hours trying to find a workable solution for my mom. They put us in two rooms with two beds one of which had stairs inside the room and the other of which was up stairs to get to the room. There was a narrow ramp that was okay for luggage but not for a human in a wheelchair.

Our much anticipated trip to Italy lived up to our expectations! Giulia, our travel expert, handled our requests and worked with us throughout the planning process to provide a finished product that was wonderful. This was our first trip abroad and we relied upon her to provide all recommendations for guides, tours, accommodations and transportation throughout Italy. We could not have done this on our own! Each driver was prompt, each tour guide was excellent! Our hotel in Rome was beautiful and top notch, walking distance to the sights in Ancient Rome and local dining spots. Beautifuly renovated, it provided a wonderful breakfast and rooftop bar with an amazing view of Ancient Rome. The location in Chianti was beautiful! While the hotel was not the most modern it provided what we were looking for in a traditional rustic Tuscan inn with a wonderful breakfast and comfortable accommodations surrounded by the beauty of Tuscany. It was nestled in wine country within driving distance to several Hill Towns for us to explore. We enjoyed returning each day to relax on our terrace to reflect on the day. While we loved the convenience of our hotel in Cinque Terre, it was our least comfotable due to the sparseness of the space and small bathroom/shower. This was most likely due to booking too late to secure the original hotel. However, the staff was friendly and the location and direct view overlooking the Ligurian Sea was amazing!

Planning was very smooth - Rita was very helpful and insightful. Support during trip was timely and professional. Kim Kim support was aware of our train cancellation before we were and proactively rebooked and notified us. We’ve had just as good of service from Kim Kim on previous trip. Every detail was accounted for and Melanie acted as a guardian angel during the trip, keeping an eye on all events. It was very comforting, and seamless. We will be doing this again.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Melanie for her exceptional planning of our trip, particularly regarding transportation. Thanks to her efforts, we enjoyed a smooth and memorable experience. The itinerary was well-structured and easy to follow, which greatly enhanced our journey. Additionally, having emergency contacts readily available provided us with peace of mind. I was particularly impressed by Melanie’s prompt responses whenever we sought her advice during the trip. Her support truly made a difference.

Italy was exactly as you see it in post cards.

There was too much walking for us, however. Two of our hotels (4 nights each) were down in the marina so we were forced to walk up and down many, many stairs and hills to the restaurants, towns , etc. Comfortable shoes are a MUST.

Anacapri, Positano and Sorrento (main squares) were our best stops.

Capri and Amalfi were very busy and difficult to get around (taxis and buses were packed and hard to get).

The weather in September is unstable (rain, wind, high 60s/low 70s) so it's challenging to know what to wear each day.

Overall, it was worth it and we recommend it at least once. KimKim was a great service.

It was such a stress reliever knowing that everything on our trip was already taken care of while we were there - we didn't have to deal with organizing cars, researching companies to use, or following up with providers because it was all taken care of. Eirini was so helpful in the planning process, had great recommendations, and was honest about what to expect with different options. She was very patient with me as I changed my mind many times to get the trip exactly how we wanted it. It would've been nice to continue to communicate with Eirini while we were on our trip for continuity, but we were handed off to lovely travel support individuals who took care of us while we were on our trip. We would absolutely use Kimkim again for the peace it provided us in not having to worry about a thing while we were on our trip.

10/10 I would go back here again and again. The property is GORGEOUS, not only the views, but the terraced gardens and the combination of old and new construction is just beautiful. The staff was lovely and very helpful, especially Marica, and Tomaso. The made to order breakfast as well as the buffet was delicious and food was prepared using the food that is grown on the property. My birthday happened to fall while we were staying on this trip and the staff surprised me by bringing out a small cake and candle and singing happy birthday to me in Italian at breakfast - it was so kind and unexpected. There is a bus stop right outside of the villa as well as two markets and a couple restaurants all on the same small road. Don't miss out on staying here!

We did not have a great experience at this hotel. From the time we arrived it was unorganized and confusing. When we first arrived, the car was unable to drive down the small road to the hotel and so we were dropped off and someone came to get us, but couldn't find our reservation once we arrived. After eventually finding it, the staff seemed unorganized in what to do next. We were given a key ring with about 6 different keys on it to get in and out of the building and the gates around the building. Our room, although a nice size, was dark with only one window that looked out into an alley - it felt like we were in the basement. We weren't staying long so we wanted to potentially order food to be delivered, but there wasn't an identifiable front desk or reception area where we could ask for help. Luckily we ran into Ines, one of the owners who was lovely and welcoming, but was busy and unable to help us at that time. We ended up venturing out to find food and staff came to apologize later and offered us complimentary drinks. They also provided us with yogurt and fruit for the morning since we were leaving very early for the airport, which was kind. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a nice sized shower.

This hotel is in a great location - many restaurants literally steps away. It was quiet and had views of both the sunrise and sunset which are hard to get on the island. Yannis was helpful at reception. There is breakfast made to order and delivered to your room every morning. There are beautiful views although somewhat (minimally) obstructed by the location (restaurants, electric wires). The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that the room could use some updating, the bathroom sometimes would smell, and the shower was TINY. Overall, a very laid back vibe, excellent location, and good views.

Full Day Capri Boat Tour from Praiano

Amalfi Coast

The boat was beautiful and relaxed. It was nice that we were able to stop and swim on the way back and were greeted with champagne once we got out of the sea. However, we were warned before we got on the boat that the seas were rough due to a storm the day before. I've never been sea sick in my life, but was sick for an hour on the way to Capri (one of many people who were sick that day). The skipper/captain didn't speak a lot of English and wasn't very helpful and didn't go through any safety briefings before we took off. Because of the difficulties with the language barrier, I was momentarily left at the dock on Capri along with two other passengers as the boat sailed away. My husband and other passengers on the boat were able to explain to the captain that we needed to be picked up.

Unfortunately, we woke up sick the day of this tour and had to cancel least minute. Unfortunately, we were unable to receive a refund because of the last minute cancellation, but the travel support did try and find us substitute options. Unable to review this tour as we had to miss it.

Full Day Tour: Positano, Amalfi & Ravello

We really enjoyed being able to get the highlights of the area without having to rent a car or scooter to get there. We spent an hour in Positano walking around, going to the beach, and getting a coffee. The driver, Vito, made the day totally flexible so we could decide what to do that best fit our needs and wants for the day. Vito would drop us off, make suggestions as to where we could explore, and wait for us so that we could explore independently. We decided to drive from Positano through Amalfi, and go straight to Ravello before it got too crowded which was a good call. We had a lot of time in Ravello and were very pleased with our time there exploring on our own. On the way back we decided to skip Amalfi as it had gotten SO busy that it didn't look enjoyable. It would've been nice to see some more scenic sites on the way back since we didn't stop, but we just went back to the hotel.

This was so much more than just a private transfer! This was also a full day tour with one of the most helpful and thoughtful drivers, Raphaele. We started early and drove through the Amalfi coast towards Pompei while Raphaele pointed out different areas and provided information about where we were. At one point I was feeling unwell from all the winding roads and he made me feel very taken care of by stopping, offering suggestions, and making sure I felt comfortable the rest of the ride. He offered local tips and information and shared about how his family lives and enjoys the area. He recommended a wonderful place for a wine tasting with paired food for lunch at the base of Vesuvius and made a reservation for us while we toured Pompei. Claudia was our VERY knowledgable tour guide in Pompei. We would NOT have had the same experience without her knowledge and guidance. Our only down side was that we could've spent hours longer learning from Claudia! After our Pompei tour and lunch at Casa Setaro winery, Raphaele took us up Vesuvius and allowed for us to explore. It was a very windy day which made it cold so be prepared with a sweater as the temperature is much different at that altitude. On the drive to Naples, Raphaele shared with us his limoncello recipe and made recommendations for where to dine in Naples. He navigated the bustling traffic in Naples well and we felt safe and cared for the whole time. Raphaele felt like an old friend by the time we were done!

Sunset Kayak Private Tour in Santorini

After an initial snafu with transportation, we were able to reschedule this tour for the following day. The staff were SO friendly, and really made the experience so fun and enjoyable. We felt cared for and that safety was a primary focus for the staff as they checked out certain areas before bringing us through. We were able to go at our own pace and adjust as needed. John was our guide and he was so kind, knowledgable, and easy going. He took many great photos for us so that we didn't have to worry about losing our phones. We stopped at a private cove to swim and eat and had the most beautiful views of the sunset. Nolan was another tour guide who was very friendly and Adonis, the owner was so kind and helpful. After we expressed how much we enjoyed one of the snacks from the tour, he made sure we had some to take home with us at the end of the tour and personally walked us back to our car.

One year ago this week our family was on a fabulous vacation in Italy. Our incredible specialist Irene worked to plan our “Food and Wine Tour” according to the places we wanted to see and things we wanted to do. Our accommodations were beautiful, our drivers and tour guides were so friendly and the private activities she arranged were amazing. Some of the most memorable being a private wine tasting at a family winery held at their dining room table with “mom” preparing lunch and the family eating with us, a private cooking class in a renovated barn in the middle of nowhere in Tuscany and eating with the chef, and a private boat cruise complete with lunch down the coast of Cinque Terre and snorkeling in the Ligurian sea. We enjoyed every moment and hope to go back to see all of the places we did not get to experience and will definitely use KimKim and request Irene. We truly had a trip of a lifetime.
