We could not be more pleased with our trip to Morocco. Honestly it would not have been the same without Kimkim organizing, planning, and hooking us up with Amine as our tour manager with Experience Morocco. Every detail was perfect and stress free. Morocco has more surprises than we could ever have imagined and never would have experienced if it was not for you all. And we can’t wait to go back.

From the places we stayed, the food, the markets, every experience... none of it would have been experienced without your guidance.

It was so easy... review the proposal you made, approve it, and go enjoy. Zero stress. Zero time lost planning, zero getting lost, zero bad experiences, zero danger.

Amine was incredible and while
initially hesitant to have someone with us for the week that we did not know, we became fast friends and hope we will continue to be in the future. He was professional, but fun. An awesome driver on tricky routes, honest, a wealth of knowledge and went above and beyond to make sure we had a world class experience. He loves his job and it shows. A million thanks to him!!!

Our guide in Fès, Chakib, while we were only with him a day, was also out of this world fun and knowledgeable. Again taking us places and introducing us to food and markets we never would have found without him. He even helped us negotiate better on some rugs!! Without him we would not have fallen in love with the culture and people in Fès.

I have already recommended your services to everyone that asks and we personally will never travel abroad again without your services. It was so worth the fee and made it so we could truly enjoy our time.

I could go on and on about our trip. There is just too much to list... not a single thing to complain about except for maybe would have liked to have spent 1 more day in Marrakech, but that’s our fault, not yours.

Thanks times a million. You will hear from us again.

We enjoyed staying in the variety of accommodations like the tent in the dessert, the rooms built into the rock at Todra Gorge and the lovely Riads.

We also enjoyed the great variety of activities and things to see such as beautiful buildings, amazing scenery, ancient Roman ruins and bustling Medinas and souks. The cooking day was fun.

Please allow me to thank you very much for taking the necessary time to share your valuable feedback with me, and I am very happy to read that you have enjoyed your trip and loved your stay throughout the country. Personally I was surprised by receiving 3.5 stars out of 5 only because I could not read anything negative in your feedback which makes me wonder what went wrong on the trip, especially that Mr. Graham Rock, who was traveling with you in the same group, noted the trip with 5 stars.

Last but not least, I know that personal feelings may differ, but, I wished I could have had the chance to know what you did not like so I can make sure I fixed it for you right away because your satisfaction is very important the same as all the group.

Our recent trip to Morocco was amazing! From the very first steps in planning, Meghan from Wanderlust was extremely helpful and quick to respond to my many inquiries. She put together a trip that checked every box we requested. And we had local support from Belghit as soon as we landed in Casablanca.
The vast knowledge and good humour of our driver, Brahim made the trip even more enjoyable. It’s impossible to really understand a new culture in 11 days but spending so much time with Brahim, left us much better informed about the history and culture of Morocco than any guidebook could. He was certainly not just a “driver”, but a well informed, personable ambassador for the country. He so kindly put up with all my questions! There just aren’t enough positive adjectives I can use to describe him.
Kamal, our guide in Fes was outstanding! I have never learned so much in one day as I did when we were with him. He wasn’t just imparting facts; everything had a story, a philosophy. He was brilliant and because of him, I will be doing my own reading.
Every place we stayed was absolutely lovely, staff were wonderful and helpful.
Our highlights were Chefchaouen, Fes, Volubilis, the Atlas Mountains and of course, the desert. If time had permitted, I would have stayed one more night in the Merzouga area. Next time!
My thanks to all who made this trip so memorable!

Our 10-day trip to Morocco was amazing! My husband and I went to Spain for a week afterwards, but throughout we still could not get over how amazing our trip to Morocco with kimkim was! From start to finish, all the people we encountered in this process were very helpful, kind and informative! We love learning about the cultures we encounter while traveling and all our local guides (Hasan in Fes, Amin in Marrakesh), and especially our amazing driver, Mohamed, really helped us feel immersed in the beauty and history of Morocco. Talking with Mohamed on the long drives on some days was a great way to pass time, while learning about life in Morocco and even making a new friend! Mohamed was really kind in looking out for my husband and I, explaining things we need to know to be safe and comfortable on our trip. We formed a special connection and appreciation for the country, and hope to one day be able to return.

We loved being able to customize our trip. We absolutely LOVED the night in the Sahara in Merzouga, and actually wish we'd spent 2 nights there. It was absolutely magical! We originally planned to skip that, but Brahim really talked it up, and we're glad we listened. The "glamping" tent there was so comfortable! The only issue (ever slight) we encountered was that we'd asked to skip Valubilis, but it somehow ended up on our itinerary, and so we went and did not care for it too much (as we'd expected), but we could have looked at our itinerary more carefully and have changed that ahead of time. Thank you kimkim--Mohamed and Brahim--for setting up such an unforgettable adventure for us!

Their on the ground partner - Wanderlust Voyages was brilliant! From our driver Youssef - who was professional, helpful and informative , to all the accommodation given in the places we stayed. They were comfortable, clean with friendly and helpful staff. I traveled with my 60+ aunt who sometimes would have limited mobility and everyone was just truly accommodating to her needs and wants.

A big shoutout to our guide in Fes as well, Moustafa. He was helpful, highly informative and made our time in Fes truly enjoyable.

One thing though, except for Fes, lunch and dinner was not provided. Our driver though recommended places and for some it may be a bit on the pricey side. But for us the food was good, clean and comfortable so we did not have any complains. All in all it was a great experience and I can’t recommend them more!

Our driver, Jalil, made our trip for us. He was courteous, warm, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met no matter the time of day or night. It was akin to being on a road trip with a longtime friend.
If you do book a trip, make sure to stay in the Tziri Camp two nights. Try the sand boarding, rent a dune buggy and visit the local towns. Also add an extra night in Chefchouen so that you have time to hike the waterfall. We didn’t have time to do that.
I also highly recommend the Riad Dar Yema in Marrakech. Don’t miss their Hammam and massage!
When you tire of Tagines, go to Mamma Mia in Marrakech! Delicious.

We are hard pressed to think of any better experience we’ve ever had with any service provider in travel. We are deeply grateful for your help kindness and friendship

Our guides were really superb, and an absolutely essential key to what was for us one of the trips of a lifetime.

Yousef really did make Marrakech accessible, immediate and “real” for us. His knowledge is vast, and he shared a great deal. His handling of our food tour made for one of the most memorable nights of the trip. He is skillful and friendly, (if sometimes a bit distracted or preoccupied).

Then Adile in Fes was truly a highlight of our entire trip. He is a quiet but profound master of information, history, context and at the same time an immediate and intimate part of the neighborhoods he showed to us. Thoughtful, deeply connected and funny. And he shared that intimacy with us with extreme and subtle generosity. We respect him very much.

The accommodations you found were absolutely first rate and the people around them extremely professional and helpful. Our drivers were friendly interesting and engaging.

It was an especially nice touch to have Yassine’s brother Hassan meet us in Fes with a welcome gift and careful advice about how to manage our extraordinary visit there.

If we have one piece of constructive feedback, it would be that you might have the guides spend a little time really trying to discern whether we want to be exposed to various merchant demonstrations. We understand that this is something probably most of your customers do want – and that it is probably also an important part of the economic viability of the business. However there were a couple of occasions on which we were presented with lengthy demonstrations in merchants that we had said we simply weren’t interested in only to sense that our decision not to make a purchase was significantly frustrating or disappointing to the merchant – and the guide. We understand that this is probably a difficult balancing act, and that your customers will sometimes surprise themselves by actually being interested in and making a purchase at one place or another. (As we did in buying a modest fountain in Fes). I think the key is to ensure that at the end of the transaction – whether the sale is made or not, we as the customers do not feel that we may have disappointed our guide or the merchants and perhaps changed the mood of the tour for a bit.

All in all, we could not be more happy with or grateful for your services. And we have already made what we believe will be a successful referral to you directly as soo all in all, we could not be more happy with our grateful for your services. And we have already made what we believe will be a successful referral to you directly Yassine.

Thank you again.
PS, would it be of any help to you to post the positive parts above to TripAdvisor?

We contacted KimKim only about 4 weeks before our trip and were quickly connected with Moroccan Immersion/Sharon. Sharon was extremely helpful -- and patient! -- in recommending options for our 6 day trip, jumping on the phone with me at least a few times for me to ask (many) questions, and to flexing on timing/price when we needed to reduce our total costs. The tour itself was wonderful -- a mix of 'typical' experiences (e.g., walks around the souks in Marrakech) coupled with unique and differentiated experiences that Moroccan Immersion helped arrange (e.g., a visit to a women's rug making cooperative followed by lunch with the 3 rug weavers; spending a night in a luxury desert camp coupled with a pre-dawn hike up the mountain to see the sunrise). Abdou was a real pleasure to have as a guide -- his love for and knowledge of his country and his heritage is impressive, and really came across in the tour. Abdou also did a great job of connecting us to local guides (e.g., in Marrakech, in Taroudant), who were equally knowledgeable and friendly. In all, I would highly, highly recommend Moroccan Immersion if you are interested in planning a trip to this remarkable country.

Well, what a trip !!!! We got picked up in Casablanca by our wonderful driver, Muhammed Ismail. He was a very cautious but good driver and we felt in safe hands with him at the wheel. The tour vehicle was excellent with plenty of room for both us and the bags and nice AC. I booked the first night myself for the Casablanca night ( "Suite Hotel Casa Diamond") and I will recommend that you use that hotel in your itineraries since it was an outstanding hotel with beautiful rooms and the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen. All of that for a very fair price. The mosque in Casablanca was breathtaking but did not otherwise care much at all for the city itself but you have to see the mosque.
Rabat was a nice stop and the Riad in Fez ( Riad Sara) was wonderful even though I just now realized we were supposed to stay at Dar Victoria ?????
The local tour guide in Fez, Kamal, was plain out outstanding. Fabulous Tour guide. The drive from Fez to the desert was VERY long but the camel ride at the sunset and Camp Madu made up for it. Incredible experience!!Another awesome experience was to include the 2 hour Quad ride in the dunes the next day!!! SOOO much fun!!!
The ride to Boumaine Dades was semi long but not too bad. The Ksar Sultan Dades had the smallest rooms and was the only place where the food was just, ok. The other hotels/riads/camp was always either outstanding or very good. Ksar Sultan Dades is the only place I would not go back to.
Going to Marrakech was also a long but beautiful drive and we really liked Palais Sabban and its location.
The hammas/massage was over the top awesome. Megan picked a wonderful hammas/spa!!
Bottom line is that we absolutely loved Morocco, the wonderful people and the food. Megan did an outstanding job in fine tuning my "raw" itinerary when we initially started the idea about the round tour of Morocco. Everything was working and on time. Not once was there any problems with pickup, payments of lunch, the driving, hotels etc. Very impressive.
The only thing that I would add, is that LOTS of the places in Morocco had no alcohol at all. We like a cocktail, beer and maybe a bottle of wine with dinner and I would suggest that the clients should be informed and buy alcohol BEFORE starting the trip.
All in all, an amazing trip and my compliments to KimKim and in particular to Megan for a very smooth running vacation.
I will write a similar review on Tripadvisor for you as well.

Brahim was splendid in helping us organize our trip. Particularly helpful was the tipping guide, that served as our bible throughout the trip. I am glad that he strongly recommended the camel ride in the desert. May I say that we were happy to have missed the sunset ride. Rising at 5 am and seeing the amazing starts, and enjoying the peace and quiet of early morning; plus, having a private ride of just we two with Mustafa our camel driver was amazing, and by far my favorite moment in the trip.

Our driver, Amine, was wonderful. He was particularly accessible to me, as I speak French, and we became closer when I discovered this. He was helpful and went out of his way to keep us in the loop and lend us a hand at the end of the trip.

Our nature and city guide in Chefchouan, Mohammed, was excellent. Very knowledgeable of the region and solicitous of us all along the way.

Our guide in FĂ©s, Hamed (?) was very good as well. Particularly so when helping us understand bargaining in the souks. We had good discussions with him about the history of the people in this area

Marrakech was interesting - our guide was helpful in getting us into the different sites, but I would have preferred him standing in line ( over an hour) in the mausoleum there, and letting us watch the video of the restauration. We only got to see a bit of that, as we'd spent so much time waiting in line. Again, he was very knowledgeable. By this time we were very tired of the souks, and cut that part short.

Finally, our Berber guide and host was very nice. We were a bit surprised that we did not actually eat with the family. But we were happy, at least, to have been introduced to them.

I understand that the stops at the different cooperatives are meant to break up the long days of driving. However, I feel that the guides /driver did not make it clear whether we should be bargaining or not at the cooperatives. In the souks, it was clear, that bargaining was what was happening. I think it would be helpful to clarify how one pays in cooperatives a bit with the clients.

We loved our hotels with the exception of the Ouarzazate hotel (Riad Bouche d'Or) The room we had smelled of the sewer, and the bed we had to share was very small. Most of the time our rooms had twin beds that were very comfortable. All the hotels were charmingly decorated, but the Chefchouan Riad (Dar Meziana) was just gorgeous, and the Marrakech hotel (Riad l'Heure d'Eté) so comfortable, and the staff there the most helpful of all we encountered.

Brahim invested time and effort to fully understand our requirements and put together a 3-day itinerary that took the 2 of us from Marrakech to Fes via the desert. Our driver (Adnane) spoke good English and made sure that we had everything we needed to have a safe and enjoyable trip.

We had an excellent 2 week experience in Morocco. The only thing we wish we had done was to spend a day or two at a coastal town. Otherwise we saw urban, mtns, the gorges, the desert and even Chefchaouen. We started in the southern area in Marrakeck which worked out well. Turns out that the prices of items in Fez are much lower than the other areas. We were told that a lot of the linens and leather etc was made in Fez which helped to lower the prices. We resisted buying on the front end of the trip saving it for Fez which was the last few days of our trip. So the lower prices were an added perk. The tannery in Marrakech was a highlight however the Fez tannery was even better. We loved the Secret Jardin in Marrakech preferring it to the Marjorelle Garden. Fewer crowds and we were really interested in the old water system of getting water from the Atlas Mtns. Our guide, Ayoub, picked us up in Marrakech. He was a young, extremely nice fella. I appreciated his temperament and his values. He is also a musician and he shared with us his talent by showing us videos of his songs. He also shared videos of his Berber village customs associated with dancing and singing. As well as videos of similar things but from different tribes. It was a great cultural experience topped off with our arrival at the Gorge's hotel with entertainment that was very similar to the videos that Ayoub shared. Perfect timing! As we approached the desert he shifted to different music to get us in the desert grove. We were traveling with our late 20 year old boys who so appreciated that both our driver and our guide were mid 20s.
Ayoub seemed a bit inexperienced in that he needed coaching on telling us what to expect for the day. Clothing, water, money and timing in particular. He got much better as the trip progressed.
Our elder son would have appreciate more input about history. The same son, got an eye infection. Ayoub was really helpful and flexible. First taking us to a pharmacy for meds ( The meds did not help.) The next day we went to the hospital (no service) and then to a private doctor (immediate service and no payment). It took all morning to do this and still Ayoub was able to adjust the schedule so that we could still go visit a Berber household. The Berber father, Mohamed, is quite a character. He lead us on a hike in the gorge which was probably the high light of our whole Morocco experience. It was so unexpectedly beautiful and surprisingly cool. This was followed by a meal in his house. I was given a tour of the house by his wife, who did not speak one work of english, but we hugged several times, shared gifts and photos. Our group referred back to Mohamed several times as the trip progressed.
It was awkward paying for the lunch. Before we left on the trip I was of the understanding that it was included. Ayoub told us that there was a change and that dinner was included that day but not lunch. The problem was, that we did not know how much to pay him and Ayoub did not provide any guidance.
Lodging- often our lodging was upgraded and we ended up in the suite. Quite a treat!!!! We appreciated the 2 places that had swimming pools. It was a great way to cool off during the days of 100 degree temps. All of our lodging was interesting and very comfortable.
Food in Morocco was delicious. However after about 7-10 days of Tagine we were ready for some variety. Our cooking class in Fez was great. Our teacher was a grandma and did not speak a word fo english but she was a delight. She effectively demonstrated the steps and there was a translator when needed. We all really enjoyed the class and the teacher.
The highlight of the trip for our boys was sandboarding. They loved it and shared stories and videos for the rest of the trip.
Ayoub is a talented photographer. He often took my big camera to get photos of the whole family and individuals. He ran up and down lots of sand dunes to get amazing pics of us on the camels. I am the family photographer so it is a treat to have some pics of me and to have such great pics of the family.
Our driver, Jilel, was very good. Also young like Ayoub. Our older son in particular enjoyed him. He provided a contrast with Ayoub. Ayoub is from a middle Atlas Berber village. He is surprisingly progressive and has compassion for women. Jilel is from Marrakech and has already been married and divorced twice, currently has 3 girlfriends and yet, has less progressive views. He was a courteous, cautious driver but able to pass when needed on the mountainous roads. He was always on time. We suggest that he figure out how to get to the riad before he begins driving. We always got a bit lost the last few minutes of the day. He brought levity to the group which was very much appreciated.
All in all it was a GREAT trip. Wonderful memories and a great time for the whole family. We found the people to be exceptionally warm, inviting, generous and helpful. Everyone should visit Mococco!

Abdellah chose for us the most wonderful riads and hotels for us to stay in during the tour. But the most special night was our visit to the Tiziri Desert Camp in the Sahara at Merzouga. This was a magical experience that we will never forget.
He also organised local guides for us in Fès and in Marrakech who were brilliant: we learned so much from them about the history and culture of this wonderful country.

Best of all, Abdellah chose for us the perfect driver, Karim. Karim was a delight to be with every day and he was kind and patient and lots of fun. We feel we have made a new friend, he was so lovely to us and shared so much with us about his land, his family and his Berber heritage.

My wife and I sincerely thank KimKim, Abdellah and Karim for our fabulous Morocco holiday.

I was part of a group of 6 and he picked us up in a large van that was clean and had AC and fit us all great. He took us everywhere and anywhere we needed to be, made reservations for us at restaurants, called hotels to confirm our arrivals and have someone meet us to take us to our rooms, he was on call if we wanted to go anywhere special and was overall a joy to be around. We were so happy with all the riads we stayed in and the experiences Brahim had booked for us. We happened on one small hiccup in our last stop, and I was honestly so impressed with the customer service, as Brahim called me right away to make sure we were happy and set for the day. After the experience, I would definitely use KimKim again and already looked at other countries they have services in.
