Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Bali
Welcome to Bali. After arriving at Ngurah Rai International Airport you'll transfer to Sanur. Ease into your vacation with a relaxed dinner at your accommodation.
Day 2: Bali Bird Park - Monkey Forest - Evening Dance Show
After a good night's rest, drive to the Bali Bird Park in the morning. Here you'll see many bird species, including the famous bird of paradise and cassowary.
Later, continue to Ubud, your stop for tonight. Visit the Monkey Forest, full of temples, jungle, and of course many monkeys. Kids and adults will both love this place.
In the evening, enjoy a colorful and entertaining Balinese dance show before dinner.
Day 3: Painting Lesson - Tegalalang Swing
In the morning, you will meet with local people who will teach you Balinese painting and drawing techniques, in a village close to Ubud. Kids will enjoy the chance to get creative.
In the afternoon, you can experience the swing in the Tegalalang area. While riding on this dramatic swing you can enjoy incredible views of rice paddies and river scenery. Those on the ground can take great photos of you swinging.
Day 4: Jatiluwih to Munduk Via Bedugul Botanical Garden & Ulun Danu Temple
Leave Ubud and head north. Your first stop will be in Jatiluwih area, with rice fields known as the most beautiful in Bali. Have lunch here with beautiful views of the rice fields. In the afternoon, visit the Botanical Garden in Bedugul, and the Temple Ulun Danu, built on the shores of Beratan Lake.
Arrive in Munduk later in the afternoon, where you'll spend one night.
Day 5: Munduk to Lovina Via Banjar Hot Springs & Brahma Vihara Temple
Start early this morning with a short walk to a nice waterfall, in the middle of the tropical jungle. Continue your drive along the north coast to the hot springs of Banjar, which are very popular with local people. You will then visit the Brahma Vihara Temple, the only Buddhist temple in Bali. In the afternoon arrive in Lovina and check in to your hotel close to the beach.
Chat with a local specialist who can help organize your trip.
Day 6: Dolphin Watching Trip - Free Time in Lovina
Start the day with an early morning dolphin-watching tour. Before breakfast, board a fishing boat and ride along the north coast of Bali. If you are lucky you will see dolphins who often come to the area to feed. Kids will love the chance to see these fabulous creatures with their own eyes.
After this excursion, return to your hotel for breakfast and spend the day at leisure, relaxing at the beach if you like.
Day 7: Lovina to Sidemen Via Sekumpul Waterfall & Batur Volcano
Leave the north coast of Bali and head into the mountains.
Start the day with a visit to Sekumpul Waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim if you wish. Continue on to Kintamani, the closest village to the volcano Batur. If the weather is good, you can enjoy lunch with views of the volcano and its lake.
In the afternoon, drive to Sidemen, a village located in a valley near Agung volcano, one of Bali's most dramatic and culturally important volcanoes. This quiet village is surrounded by rice fields and plantations.
Day 8: Treasure Hunt - Amed
Today you'll drive to a small village near Sidemen, where you'll embark on a fun treasure hunt. Your kids can learn about Balinese culture while having a lot of funds. Walk through rice fields and alongside the river, taking part in various local activities along the way.
At the end of the afternoon, drive to Amed, a small fishing village on the east coast of Bali, where you'll stay the night.
Day 9: Lempuyan Temple - Afternoon Free
This morning, start with a hearty breakfast as you'll need it to hike to Lempuyan Temple: there are 1700 stairs to climb to reach the top. The views at the top will be worth the effort though, as you'll be able to see Mt. Agung when the skies are clear.
After returning to Amed, spend the rest of the day at leisure at your ocean-view bungalow.
Day 10: Amed to Candidasa Via the White Sand Beach
After a morning snorkeling session off the coast of Amed, head south. En route, stop at White Sand Beach. This is quite unusual as most of the beaches of Bali are comprised of black volcanic sand. This beach is particularly popular with locals, who come here to relax, and you can do the same.
Continue to Candidasa, where you can spend the rest of the day enjoying the pool at the hotel.
Day 11: Candidasa to Kuta/Legian
Leave Candidasa and drive to the south-east of Bali. En route, visit Tenganan village, one of the oldest villages of Bali, where you can get a glimpse into a traditional way of life.
After arriving in Kuta you can go shopping in this lively area, and in the evening watch the sunset from the famous beach, which is known as a paradise for surfers.
Day 12: Temple Tour: Tanah Lot Temple & Ulu Watu Temple
Today is dedicated to exploring a couple of fantastic Balinese temples. You will first visit Tanah Lot Temple, on a rocky outcrop in the sea, one of the most important temples in Bali. Next, drive to the far south of Bali and have lunch at Jimbaran Bay. In the afternoon, visit Ulu Watu Temple, on a cliff with spectacular sea views. Stop at some nice surfing beaches such as Padang Padang and Secret Beach afterward.
Day 13: Farewell Bali
Enjoy a final Balinese breakfast and, depending on the time of your flight, perhaps some last-minute sightseeing or shopping around Kuta. Your driver will meet you and transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home or onward. We hope to see you later!
