I had the absolute best time in Ha Long Bay- everyone was so kind, the scenery was incredible, the boat was swanky, and the excursions were very fun. Kimkim made everything super easy and everything between travel was extremely organized. 10/10 recommend!

This was our 3rd booking with KimKim and we will keep using them. Hien from Realistic Asia and KimKim was a perfect specialist— checking in on us daily, adjusting to our changes, and addressing issues quickly. The best tour was with Zaj on a 3-day motorcycle tour in Ha Giang. Food and home stay exceeded our expectations!

We planned and booked our trip with Doris who provided seamless end to end service with great care, attention to detail and thoughtfulness. She was always available and very prompt. Last minute issues were handled to our satisfaction.

Mr Hui in Hanoi was patient and kind. Our itinerary included city tour with food tasting. Banh Mi was the highlight as it was absolutely delicious.

We were booked on Elite of the Sea for our visit to Halong Bay. It was absolutely one of the best experiences of our trip. Cruise crew takes care of the smallest detail with a happy smile. Harry was funny , engaging and made us feel very special. It was difficult to say goodbye bye after our brief stay.

We did tour the pearl farm and bamboo/ silk center which was fine. The road trip to take us from Halong Bay back to airport in Hanoi had room for improvement.

Mr Loan in Ho Chi Minh was amiable , professional and very knowledgeable. His back ground in history was very helpful. We enjoyed the city tour to Post office and Cholon market. He was able to point out local highlights , explain the city district system and cultural nuances we observed. Cu Chi tunnels were a reminder of the resilience of the Vietnamese people against oppression and their efforts for freedom.

Our initial planned guide in Siem Reap was a poor fit and Doris quickly made arrangements to have Mr Sen replace him. Can I just say that Mr Sen was absolutely the best guide one can hope to have. He was very professional, engaging, knowledgeable and made us laugh with his humor. He took beautiful photos of our family on the tour as a bonus. Other visitors stopped to appreciate his commentary about the temples.
He was able to adjust the itinerary to maximize our tour for the brief time we had.

We feel fortunate to get a glimpse of the culture and history during our short visit and hope to come back for more in future.

After months of planning travel to Vietnam and Siem Reap,Cambodia .I decided to go through kimkim travel.It was a decision I was glad I made after all was said and done.My trip was a wonderful experience.Doris Bui was my travel consultant .She provided consistent valuable information prior to the trip.If I had questions ,Doris always responded in a timely manner.I really didn’t expect the trip would exceed my expectations but it did !The itinerary that we set up allowed me to see the highlights in the cities I visited .I was also pleased with the hotels selected for me.Two stops I particularly enjoyed was the Can Tho ecolodge .It was a beautiful tropical setting.Great for relaxation .Another was the Metta Spa and residence in Siem Reap.Having the transportation and guides to make my trip easier was a key element for me!I wanted a trip free of headaches !I needed the expertise of those who know the country.I found them with kimkim.All the guides I used were friendly and informative.The Swan cruise along Halong Bay was another favorite of mine.Beautiful scenery with excellent dining.It was nice to have flexibility within the itinerary as well!Kimkim will set up a basic itinerary for you and you can customize to your preferences .As a solo traveler ,this was ideal!

The Floating Market was an incredible experience. I absolutely loved it. It felt like being on a floating island. The hustle and bustle of the market were exciting and unique.

This was the best trip thus far in our life! We were lucky to work with Ashley from the Kimkim team on creating the experience of a lifetime and couldn't have asked for a better agent.

We had great tours and experienced many new things, ate new foods, and met some great people along the way.

Each day, we knew what the agenda was and had a white glove experience with private transfers and troubleshooting (which were little to none as the trip plan was basically perfect).

We can't wait for our next adventure and will definitely be repeat customers!

I’m a solo traveler from the USA and I daydreamed of Vietnam. I found my travel agent, Hien from Realistic Asia (through KimKim), to make the dream a reality. Hien is attentive, has great attention to detail, and was dedicated to making sure that my experience would be exactly as I imagined - and so much MORE!

After multiple iterations and fine-tuning via emails, she arranged the perfect customized 2-week trip for me. From transportation to activities and all the logistics in between. She made great recommendations and provided advice on customs, tipping, and even rush-hour traffic times. As a local resident of Hanoi, I felt like I had a family friend as I was traveling through each town, ready for any emergency. Fortunately, I did not need the added service of 24 hour support, though it was huge peace of mind knowing I had a local emergency contact. Hien even came to say hello at my hotel lobby when our timing aligned. It was wonderful to meet her in person! First class, white glove service all the way.

If you are looking for a truly authentic, customized travel experience, skip the crowds and huge group gatherings and create your own itinerary. I found that it was not a huge price difference, and I was able to immerse myself in Vietnam my way… Definitely with the help of Hien at Realistic Asia!

What a brilliant trip! My girlfriend and I spent two weeks travelling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Realistic Asia planned every detail to seamless perfection. We visited all the must see sights along the way (Pu Luong, Ninh Binh, Ha Long Bay, Hue, Hoi An), and at every turn KimKim / Realistic Asia had planned great activities for us, top hotels, and seamless travel. There were also very flexible throughout the trip, constantly tailoring things to our preferences. I had a wonderful time engaging with Ashley. She helped make my trip memorable, not only during the planning stages but also while I was on the trip. Incredibly responsive, informative, and helpful, Ashley made sure my trip went smoothly day to day. She provided me with great ideas on what to do in the moment while I was on my trip that helped make it more unique and also made it feel like I had a local friend to consult with. I’d absolutely repeat my experience working with Ashley.

We made a relatively last-minute decision to travel to Vietnam and Ashley not only planned the entire trip for us with alacrity, but also ushered us through getting visas and other ncessary preparations without hesitation. From Hanoi to Ha Long Bay to Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City, we were housed in luxurious hotels and met by gregarious and insightful local guides. We were introduced to the warmth of the culture and people and the savory deliciousness of the food. We even had a few last minute changes to our schedule that Ashley accomodated seamlessly and she was immediately responsive whenever we needed help. We'll definitely use KimKim again!

KimKim as a Platform: I’ve used KimKim for planning my recent trip, but unfortunately, the platform itself has serious issues. It repeatedly struggled to match me with my country of origin. This mismatch was incredibly frustrating. Unless KimKim resolves this issue, I won’t be using the platform again in the future.

Long & Realistic Asia: Despite the platform issues, Long, our travel expert from Realistic Asia, completely exceeded our expectations! We began planning our trip a year in advance, and Long ensured every detail was perfect, giving us exactly the kind of hotels and tours we wanted. The itinerary was thoughtfully curated with all the key sights we wished to see.

While in Vietnam, Long went above and beyond by checking in with us daily to ensure we were having a great experience. When Typhoon Yagi hit, we had no idea what to do, but Long handled everything like a true professional. He even offered us extra tours and spa treatments - at no cost! It wasn’t anyone’s fault, yet he still made sure our experience remained top-notch.

I can’t recommend Long and Realistic Asia enough. They turned what could have been a stressful trip into a memorable one. If you’re considering booking, make sure to ask for Long - he’ll make your trip extraordinary!

Doris, my travel specialist was an incredible partner to me, not just helping me plan my trip but staying in touch with me regularly while I was in Vietnam. One notable moment took place when typhoon Yagi was scheduled hit Northern Vietnam while I was in Hanoi. Doris proactively called me with the option to fly out of Hanoi (to Saigon) a day early to avoid the Hanoi airport closure, which I agreed to. Doris then booked for me a new flight, hotel reservations and transportation to and from the airport. While I’m sure this was very time consuming for Doris, it was all seamless for me.

I had an incredible trip that included Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa and Saigon. Many thanks to Doris for a memorable trip!

Long was exceptional!
He did an outstanding job being helpful and guiding me through every step of the way. He even checked in when the tour ended and was in Ho Chi Minh.
Overall, I think it was well planned but only input I would some of the 4 star hotels were a little out dated but overall, still very good.

Overall, we had a really good experience in Vietnam. My daughter absolutely loved the Vespa ride! (As did I) And the places we stopped to eat or drink were great. We enjoyed exploring the Cu Chi tunnels and area. The day on the Mekong river was also a highlight for us. My daughter and I are not huge museum people, so I probably should have opted for something else in my itinerary in the planning phase.
From a food perspective, after having been in two other countries prior to Vietnam that had little Western influence, we were happy to have a little more of that in Vietnam. but we still got to taste the local flavors of Vietnam. Our guide, Mr. Leighton, was very helpful and informative, even though he was under the weather with some congestion/cough over our two days there. He was a trooper.
Hopefully we’ll come back to Vietnam and get to experience other parts of the country and its culture!

We visited Vietnam and Cambodia. We had such an educational and eye opening experience with appropriate and relevant activities as planned with Hien.
Our tour guides, Cuong, Johnny and Neang were so informative, knowledgeable and caring along with our drivers. Comfortable hotels and transport vehicles.

Overall the trip was a dream. We have fallen in love with Vietnam and have already been speaking about returning someday soon. Our KimKim agent, Doris, is a local expert and planned such a a good vacation and stayed within our allocated budget.

We visited Hanoi, Hoi An, and Da Nang. All unique and beautiful in their own right.

We had a unique situation traveling with a 10 month old baby. We heard Vietnam was a good place to take young children, but we had no idea how amazing the local people would be. Pretty much every restaurant and hotel we had people wanting to hold our baby, help us with the baby, and just showing her so much attention and affection. It was so great.

We had two guides for this trip. Our second guide, Han, was exceptional in every way and an amazing help with the baby. We honestly became friends and will stay in contact beyond our trip. He lovingly earned the title “Uncle Han” due to our daughter having so much fun with him. We couldn’t be happier with our service.

The weather was something we were worried about going to Vietnam in July but has overall it cooperated pretty well. A couple inconvenient showers but really not too bad.

All of our hotels had breakfast included, which was really nice. The first two in Hanoi and Hoi An had outstanding breakfast buffets.

In our Da Nang hotel the service was great and the people working there were great but some mornings some of the food was cold. They did offer fresh omelettes but the sausage and bacon were not the freshest. But we have found some great local food options to enjoy throughout the day so not a huge deal.

We had one problem during the trip which was a driver that picked us up from the airport. He was sick and was coughing and sneezing a lot. We did now want to continue with this driver and messaged our agent, Doris, on WhatsApp and within 7 minutes she had another driver scheduled for the next day. Amazing service!

Overall everything has been A+ with our experience with KimKim and Vietnam. I would highly recommend anyone looking into the service to give it a try.

Kim Kim set us up with a wonderful 20th wedding anniversary trip through Vietnam. We didn’t have a luxury of time, only eight nights available, but they helped us make the most of our trip through the country. I normally do all my own travel planning. However, when I had a chance to go to Vietnam for a long weekend, on short notice, I did not have enough time to think, plan and book. Thus, very leerily I went to the internet and found KimKim. The reviews seemed good, so I gave it a shot.

1. My contact Huyen was very responsive, all the time. I changed my plans a few times, and she was supportive and reacted quickly.
2. My Vietnam guide, Hien, was in Hanoi was also very good. Knowledgeable. Happy personality. By the way, the streets in Hanoi are the craziest I have every seen.
3. Ninh Binh drive and day was on time and very interesting.
4. Ha Long bay cruise was on a very nice ship. Very clean, good size being maybe 20 rooms, so not crazy crowded. Food was very good, especially the last day brunch.

I would recommend KimKim and Huyen to everyone.

Our nearly two weeks in Vietnam were great and Ashley did an amazing job setting up the details. The accomodations we had at each destination and the in-country travel were all quite good with no complications. Each of the guides and drivers did a great job. The guides had different personalities which added to the interest. We especially enjoyed our experience trekking with Zozo in Sapa, the overnight Doris cruise at Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, and the Delta trip with Nhu-y.

Our time at Krabi in Thailand was not as enjoyable because the choice of Krabi was not a good match for us. We anticipated a relaxing three days at a beach resort between our time in Vietnam and the 10 days in Japan planned by another Kimkim associate, but we did not investigate sufficiently what was offered at Krabi or ask Ashley about alternatives that might have been available in Vietnam or in Thailand closer to Phuket. The drive to Krabi and back to Phuket were tedious. The guide and driver did their jobs well, but we didn't really need a guide to do this. A driver would have been sufficient. Also we learned in Krabi that we could have flown directly to Bangkok from there to continue our trip to Japan. The Panan resort was fine, but it was a 10 minute walk to the beach, and the town of Krabi was not our vibe. It is much better suited for younger couples or singles or young families.

Overall, we commend Ashley for a job well done, and we will certainly recommend that our friends consider Kimkim to help plan a trip to the far East.

About a 10 minute walk to the beach. The room was quite nice and the staff was excellent. The pool meanders through the resort and was a nice place to relax and is set up very nicely for children to play. The food in the restaurant was good.

Very interesting experience. Nhu-y and the boat crew did a great job and she answered many questions about the people and their life along the delta. We enjoyed visiting the family home.

I loved my trip to Vietnam, Doris (in the back office) and Hoang (the guide who accompanied us) were always very helpful and helped us discover several incredible places that we wouldn't have gone to without them.
We don't usually travel with a guide, but Hoang and Doris always gave us the necessary space so we didn't feel like we were on a traditional tour.
Everything went very well, and I highly recommend it!
