We recently completed our SW England road trip and it was fantastic! This is our second trip organized through KimKim and we really find the level of assistance, coordination and guidance a boon to trip planning. In fact, Stephen, who prepared our itinerary was able to take a lot of the planning for us, out of the equation. There were great activities suggested throughout the trip. This was personalized for us; a small family of three with a 9 year old daughter. She had some great experiences as did my wife and I! We are grateful to Stephen for being available throughout the planning process and things couldn't have been easier.

The trip plan dossier was organized well and served as a quick daily reference for what the next days adventures will bring! Having many activities pre-booked with booking references available prior to departing was very efficient and made things easy.

This is a great way to generate ideas about an area you want to visit by getting local insight from people who know the area and can suggest activites that may not always be 'main stream' but also ensure a rich, full experience of the area.

We are extremely pleased with KimKim and feel that this is the only way we will plan future trips!!

We loved this cottage stay - unfortunately for us it was only for one night. It truly has motivated us to come back here for a longer stay. The cottage was exceptionally clean and spacious. The restaurant had excellent food and the village is charming!

This is very, very, very nice inn. An old building with character. The staff are super friendly. We had a great time. My daughter LOVED the room we stayed inn -- it really brought out nautical and pirate themes to our dreams! The bathroom was quite newly renovated and nice. The staff was great and extremely friendly. This was a very memorable stay and I will say that I see myself coming to Dartmouth again in my life and I will stay at Bayards Cove Inn!!!

Private Guided Tour of The British Museum with a Historian

After having this guided tour I feel this is the only way to visit a museum!! We met with Alan who is a PhD and has a keen interest and knowledge in early civilizations. The pace was good and we were all engaged the whole time. My 9-year old daughter had a great time and really felt that seeing and hearing the things she did complimented some of the things she has learnt about early civilizations. Truly a great experience!!

Ashley was amazing from beginning to end! She was very accommodating to all my requests and several changes during the planning of the trip. Thanks to her planning, everything went smoothie and easy during our stay in Thailand. She was always in every detail, contacting me with text reminders about air tickets, tourist guides, and transportation. Constantly assuring that our experience was as expected. The tourist guides who she works with through Realistic Asia are the best. We toured the Kanchanaburi area with Mayree, who was knowledgeable, attentive, and patient. We traveled with my 10-year-old niece, and she spoiled her, having plenty of treats ready for her! The chauffeur was amazing too.
We tour the North of Thailand Chain Mai, Pia, with Erk as our tourist guide; he introduces us to the local history, live style, monastic life, and Buddhist philosophy. He was incredibly open, answering every question with plenty of details and knowledge. The driver was very polite and professional too. Thank you very much, Ashley! We highly recommend you!

Our local specialist in Croatia was Bruno Martinovic and he was amazing. This is what he did for us:
--Helped us design an itinerary that fit our schedule and our interests
--At our request, arranged for transfers from to and from hotels to the airports and boat. We don't always do this but loved this service. All on time as promised.
--booked accommodations that were ideally located and consistent with the budget we gave him
--checked in with us each day via WhatsApp to tell us what was scheduled the next day and providing contact information. He was always available when we had questions.
--MOST IMPORTANT: He arranged for fabulous guides in Split (Pero), Dubrovnik (Marijana) and from Korcula to Dubrovnik (Goran). Each was knowledgeable, personable and informal--in the right way. We learned much more then the history of a place. We learned so much about Croatia, Croatians and the complicated history of the entire region. We highly recommend each of these individuals.

We had a great 2 weeks in New Zealand. Went with my wife and youngest son (he’s 21). As an American - New Zealand is a long way away! We wanted an adventure to South Island…. And Sabina asked our goals…. And then fit in activities to meet those goals. Highlights were a helicopter ride onto a glacier at Mt Cook where we then put on crampons and hiked around the glacier. Our guide found an ice cave and we were able to go into it. Amazing experience as we were 20-ish feet beneath surface in bluest of blue ice…. Knowing the cave will be gone in a year…and a new one will form. Another highlight was a kayaking tour in Milford Sound…. Scenery was utterly amazing, we got to see lots of wildlife (including sea lions), and learned a ton. Best part about trip was each morning was a pre-planned adventure and everything was organized. I had a few questions during trip…. Pinged the app…. And the KimKim folks responded very quickly and sorted our issue.
Now that I’m back, I am organizing a trip for my two sons to visit Australia in November. And again utilizing the skills of Sabina.

Our trip to Belize was wonderful. Catherina listened to what we wanted and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in two smaller resorts and the people were incredible and so friendly. We were in the mountains for the first part of the trip and then on the beach, to relax and do some snorkeling. We went to some Mayan ruins and hiked thru the jungle. We saw some incredible birds and fish. We swam with Eagle Rays and sea turtles, so very exciting. All of our guides and the staff at both resorts were fantastic. We had a really great time!

This is a smaller resort, which we really prefer. It is right on the ocean and we had a lovely "tree house” room. It was air conditioned and a very nice room. The staff were amazing and so accommodating. All our guides were great and we got to see a ton of birds and had some incredible snorkeling adventures. We swam with Eagle Rays and Sea Turtles and lots of beautiful fish. It was so much fun. We had all our meals included in our package. They serve very large portions - they don’t want anyone to go hungry. Fortunately, you can order 1/2 portions. We had an amazing time here and would love to come back some day.

Blancaneaux Lodge

This is a more rustic retreat. The rooms are not air conditioned, but they do have very good fans. When we went it was quite humid and hot, but we didn’t mind it too much. We were out doing things during the day and it cooled down a little at night. It was a beautiful setting and we really enjoyed our stay at Blancaneaux Lodge. The staff are so very nice and do everything they can to make your stay wonderful. This is a much smaller retreat which is what we really enjoy. They have their own farm with fresh eggs and produce. The food was very good. There were a number of families here and we really enjoyed connecting with the other guests as well. It was such a lovely place.

This is a lodge, so it is a little more rustic - if you are looking for luxury you might be a little disappointed. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed it.

If you haven’t and even if you have visited a Mayan ruin before this is a must. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable and we climbed all the way to the top. It was worth the climb for the view. It’s really interesting learning about the Mayan culture and seeing the temples and ruins.

This was a surprisingly wonderful experience. Our guide was terrific and he canoed us a long way into the cave with all this history. He was very knowledgeable and we were very lucky to be the only ones there at this time. We were told that rarely happens. I don’t know that it would have been very enjoyable if it was crowded - part of what made it so nice was that we were alone and could take our time looking at the artifacts and learn about what was found inside this cave. We really enjoyed this adventure.

The location of this hotel is excellent - literally steps from the main shopping and dining streets of Santorini, so no car is necessary. The staff was very helpful and assisted with finding dinner options as well as anything else we needed. The guides were very informative and had great communication skills.
João reached out to us each night to inform us of the next days activities and with suggestions for local highlights.
We feel we came away with a feel for the history and the people of Portugal.
We certainly have a feel for the fish and the wine of Portugal.
We would highly recommend João and Kimkim for a trip there!

Marina was a huge help from start to finish! My friend and I were so excited to visit Portugal and Marina took much of the stress out of all the planning. We had great private tours and excellent guides chosen for our many tours in the different places we went visit. We loved so many of the unique experiences provided on this trip, for example, the private tour of Tomar, the Peña Palace, our small group tour of Douro Valley, our private hike in the national park, and our jeep tour on the Azores. There were a few bumps in the road as one of our tours was cut short in Sintra (two hours instead of 8) and one tour in Porto started at a different time than given. The hotels were well chosen for each location and close to many things that we wanted to see and experience. On the whole, I would definitely use Kimkim again for a trip in the future. Marina (and those coewas very quick to respond when there were any issues and helpful when we needed information. I appreciate all of the time and effort that went into the planning and organization of our Portugal trip! I will have memories for a lifetime!

I had the most wonderfully memorable vacation in Italy and all credits go to Maria and her exceptionally talented team. Every single activity Maria and her team selected for me went without glitches and far exceeded my expectations. Walking in Bergen is an excellent way to see the city. Be prepared for rain

Carl gave some suggestions for exploring the stunning nature of the Canadian Rockies. He took into account our possibilities and limitations and warned us about possible tourist traps such as Lake Louise. This enabled us to make the right choice for our trips every day. The most memorable part was the trip from Banff to Jasper over the Icefield Parkway. Extraterrestrially beautiful landscapes, less crowded places such as the turquoise Bow lake, the imposing Athabasca glacier and waterfalls of the same name. In addition, we were joined a few times by foraging black bears, a group of bighorns and elks. The town of Banff itself and the Johnston falls were too busy. Surprisingly beautiful and very quiet places were (near Banff) the Minnewanka lake, the Vermillion lakes and (near Jasper) the Medicine Lake. All hotel accommodations were fine and picking up and returning the rental car went smoothly.

Drive from Calgary to Banff

A smooth hand fine drive with nice views.

Hien did a wonderful job of planning a Vietnam adventure for me and my son. The communication was wonderful and she worked with us to change the itinerary multiple times until it was just what we were looking for. The cruise on Halong Bay was a highlight of this trip as was the motorbike ride from Hue to Hoi An over the Hai Van pass.

Hien also communicated with us during the trip to check in, give tips, and help when we had questions. All of the tour guides like Zozo, Lui and Jade were so friendly and informative.

We loved everything about this experience!

We had a great trip to Iceland and would love to come back! Emanuela reached out before and during our trip to make sure everything was going smoothly. Fortunately we didn’t need any assistance but I’m confident it would have been promptly provided if we had needed it. Just FYI, the monster bounce house and zip line are no longer at Perlan in Reykjavik.

We had an enjoyable overall trip to Greece, however the experience with Chris, the Greece Specialist travel agent for Kim-Kim was problematic. Chris was slow to respond to questions in planning the trip and overall communication with him was poor. Additionally, he did not let us know in advance that we would need to have access to What's Ap to communicate with a ground team in Greece. The hotel in Athens was not as represented in the planning process.

On a positive note, the guides we had in Greece and the Catamaran crew from Naxos Yachting- Dimitris and Maia were terrific. We especially enjoyed the Athen's food tour guide Yiannis; the Acropolis tour guide Zakia; the Napflio archeological tour guide Vera; the Nemea wine tasting and tour guide Katarina, and the Santorini archeological site tour guide Hara. The hotels in Nafplio and Santorini were delightful.

We just got back from 2 weeks in Argentina, with brief side excursions to Brazil and Uruguay. Jessica and Kristy helped plan out all the details and everything went smoothly. Even though we speak a little bit of Spanish, the english speaking guides were much appreciated. The guided cemetery tour of Recoleta had so much interesting historical information that we would have missed if we had visited on our own. Also the Gaucho ranch tour, along with the visits to the local artisans in San Antonio de Areco, was amazing. Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls and Colonia, Uruguay all in one trip! We felt so lucky to be able to take it all in with a relaxed attitude because we knew all the details and transfers were taken care of by Kim Kim.
We would not hesitate to book with them again!

L Hotel Palermo is in a great location for restaurants, markets and walking. It's a small boutique hotel with very friendly staff and has a well maintained property. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety to choose from. The only down side is the nightlife nearby on weekends kept us awake until the early morning hours. Earplugs definitely came in handy.

Exploring the Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls

The Brazilian side of the falls was about a half day tour. It was a different perspective to take in the falls from this side and helped us appreciate the Argentinian side even more. We ended up taking the boat trip up to the falls from here which was fun and WET! The best part of visiting this side of the falls with the guides was their help in navigating the border and passport control station.

Tony was our guide on this food tour. He did a great job introducing us to some local cuisine and wines from Argentina. We even went back and visited some of the restaurants on our own later in the trip. Would highly recommend!
