I loved my trip around the country of Morocco. KimKim proved to be a wise choice when I was thinking of traveling independently, yet wanted backup coordination. Through them I connected with Original Travels based in Morocco. Mohamad was excellent and his choices of accommodations were perfect. The entire team there at Original Travels were always so helpful in answering any question I might have. Very responsive.

While I enjoyed much of Morocco, my time in the desert at the Azalai Desert Camp was amazing! Just what I needed. Ayaub was so wonderful. He cooked and attended me as if I were family. A very thoughtful and kind man. All three guys overseeing the camp were great, but a special thanks to Ayaub!

Azalai Desert camp is something very special, very cool. Loved it.

My absolute favorite of all things about my trip was my most amazing, kind and capable driver Soufian. It was such a joy to see him every day. He is a natural, capable driver and I could not have asked for a better match. He and I. I loved his company and he totally took care of whatever need I had. Soufian arrived each morning with a smile and always right on time. He is the best! A perfect driver and a special man. A special new friend for sure. He MADE my trip amazing. Thank you so so so much Soufian!

Our 10 day tour around Morocco was amazing! What a beautiful country with incredibly nice and gracious people! Our tour itinerary - in summary: Tangier-Chefchaouen-Fes-desert camp at Erg Chebbi-Ait Ben Haddou-Marrakech-Casablanca. I want to give a special shout-out to our guide and driver Ahmad - who was with us the whole time. Not only did he have lots of useful and interesting information about all our tour stops, he was with us the whole time and was forever flexible and available to our changing needs as we went. He worked incredibly hard to make our trip special and was always perfectly pleasant, prompt, and professional! I would say the desert experience at Erg Chebbi/Merzouga area was the most unique of the trip - but all of our stops were memorable and all of our tour guides deserve special mention as well. Thank you Morocco and Kimkim!!

GREECE was a DREAM COME TRUE

Our experience in Greece was perfect, sure there were a couple hiccups here and there but for the most part we were very pleased.

* Sweet Home Boutique hotel was very small. Didn't really feel like a honeymoon stay. It was a tad bit underwhelming. We did have a nice view of the parthenon from our room so this definitely made up for the space. Also, we ran out of hot water the first night so that was a bummer. Otherwise this hotel was super cute and Aphrodite was a great hostess. Breakfast in the morning was delicious.

* Anastacios our tour guide was very pleasent! He took us through the Acropolis and was very informative. He did go off on a couple tangents and he mentioned how influencers just want to come and take pics so we felt a bit weird asking for a photo. We didn't get a chance to go to the museum. He asked if we still wanted to go but we opted not to since the Acropolis tour took so long.

*Ivis 4 Boutique Hotel - was definitely very fancy and probably the honeymoon stay we were expecting. We didn't have a nice view of the parthenon but otherwise it was very nice. It would have been nice to stay here a couple more nights.

Santorini
* Blue Dolphin was AMAZING. This definitely felt like the honeymoon stay we were hoping for. Since the moment we arrived in Santorini we were welcomed with such hospitality.

* Trail Guide Artemius, was AMAZING. He took us to Oia and took us to the Blue Domes. He asked if we wanted photos and even went as far as to take videos. All along the trail he told us about Santorini and its history. He told us about him and his family. He was such a pleasure!

* The Cruise was so much FUN. George and George were very nice!!

* Luxury Travel - i think this was the name of the driver company who took care of picking us up and dropping us off throughout our stay . Again sooo very nice and very reliable.

Pros: Our driver, Satish, was incredible and one of the best parts of the trip. He was always punctual, helpful, kind, and gave good advice. He was a careful and attentive driver, and I always felt safe though the driving conditions were very unusual for me.

The guides who led the spice tour and the Munnar hike were our favorites from the trip. Both were very friendly and their knowledge level was impressive. Also the spice tour guide did recommend his brother's shop to us and the prices were very reasonable.

Favorite activities were the cooking demonstration, the martial arts demonstration, both the jungle and mountain hikes, and the house boat. The destinations were all beautiful and interesting, and the hotels in Periyar and Marari were both wonderful.

Cons:
Though our tours in Cochin were all very informative and interesting, it was clear that our guide had some arrangement with the shops and tuktuks that he recommended. The interactions were uncomfortable and the prices very high (70 USD/5700 INR for a simply made skirt). After the first store, I was put off from shopping during the rest of the trip.

I felt unprepared with regard to tipping, as it seems a very complicated issue in India. There was no information on what to bring/how to dress, and so we were also unprepared for leeches and the more rugged hikes.

The Thattekad Bird Sanctuary is not worth stopping unless you arrive in the early morning, and the hotel in Munnar was challenging with regard the smell/cleanliness and lack of AC.

Overall it was a wonderful experience, and I plan to return to India in the future.

Hello...Let me start off by saying that we had the best time. I was very apprehensive about going to Guatemala and had a bad experience with the transfer I had booked. And so i decided to look for a service that will give me end to end experience and I found Catherina. She was amazing in understanding my requirements as we were a family with 2 young kids. she understood the requirements and also our dietary needs and planned an itinerary that will work perfectly. We went back n forth on the requirements and once the itinerary was nailed down I booked it. When we landed in hotel, the next day our Guide JJ arrived and picked us at the hotel for the wonderful flower festival. I must say that our trip would not be half as successful if we didnt have JJ as our guide. He was very prompt, always on time, helped interact with kids, made sure we enjoyed the activity we were doing, always gave recommendations that were perfect. Also all our transport were private...be the chicken bus, the boat or the car...all to our ourself :) which made the whole expereince very private and personal. The hike to Pacaya is a must. The hike is steep , but we all could do the hike. The lunch provided was so yum and added to the whole experience.

I have to give a tremendous thank you for Natalia. She made the planning process very easy for our trip from Buenos Aires to Bariloche, to Ushusaia the best. She was great at being flexible with changes that we made to our trip plan and she listened to what our interests were and planned
excursions that fit us to a tee. Everyone from the tour guides to the people that helped transfer us to the airports and hotels were absolutely delightful and made everything so easy. A special shout out to Juan Martin Lahore our tour guide in Bariloche. The best tour guide ever!!! We truly enjoyed out time with him. He was very knowledgeable about area and taught us so much about the history and took us on a hike with the most beautiful views. In Ushuaia the hike was beautiful as well and our guide Ezekiel was also very insightful on the history of the native people and we enjoyed learning of their history. I have to say everything about this trip was perfect!!! Thank you so much Natalia for everything. This was a trip of a lifetime and you made it absolutely AMAZING!!!!! I will definitely work with you again and will recommend your services to anyone I know planning a trip like this.

I loved all the guides we had. Each one was so unique and different. Most of them went out of their way to give us a very special experience. And each of the places were so memorable and special. I especially liked seeing Torres del Paine, Camp Grey and Glacier Grey. Ditmar did a great job of coordinating all of the transportation and the excursions.

If I were to plan again, I would spend less time based in Santiago and I would try to increase my chances of not having activities canceled due to weather. Hotels were great, service was good and we found super wine and food. Seeing penguins outside of Punta Arenas and getting up close with glaciers were priorities for me and neither happened. More flexibility, more time, different time? Not sure what but would research it fully. Ana was good, Clementina was great. Service in Patagonia was mixed ie our schedule kept changing and only once of the three times were we notified. Drivers and guides were timely and good except for the one incident from San zpedro to Calamari, which we have already reported. Now we are waiting for refunds for our two canceled excursions. I love travel, I have travelled many places, rich and poor, alone and it groups. This was a good trip but there definitely still are challenges out there and some disappointments. My wife and I had the most amazing trip to Iceland, and that was because of KimKim and our specialist Terry.

Having never travelled to Iceland, I contacted KimKim to help us with our travel. I could not have been more pleased. They assigned us our very own specialist (Terry) and she was communicative, eager to help, professional, and super, super nice. I gave Terry some broad-stroke ideas about the types of things we wanted to do as well as the parameters (like days there, activity levels, and other logistical ideas), and Terry took those ideas and provided me with a fantastic draft plan.

Terry was very willing to work with me on refining the plan, and the end result was absolutely phenomenal.

We traveled for five days, four nights, staying two nights apiece at Hotel Ranga and Hotel Apotek. We saw a lava tunnel, stunning waterfalls, craters, geothermal areas, gorgeous landscapes, the city Reykjavik, and a couple spas. All of it was perfect. The two highlights were the ice cave near Vik and Sky Lagoon in Reykjavik.

More so, the planning done by Terry and KimKim was SO smart. The driving directions Terry provided us with ensured our travels were not only full of adventure but also smartly designed. This was actually the key to KimKim's success on our trip - they planned everything to my design and desire and set my wife and I up for success with a smartly designed plan.

I will admit was a little hesitant to do a self-guided tour (KimKim has other options too), but KimKim made it so easy and so wonderful that those fears and anxieties of being in a new country were immediately resolved.

Anytime I travel, I'm going to use KimKim. One of the top trips in my entire life. And, my wife was thrilled (:

PHENOMENAL hotel!! Super friendly, professional, and terrific facility. Restaurant was out of this world, but you do need a reservation (can be made early in day). My wife and I found out the hard way and there were no seats available until later in the evening, but the staff immediately rallied and served us dinner upstairs. I could not believe the service. Best hotel staff I've ever experienced. In addition to the staff, the hotel has a service where you can be alerted to Northern Lights when they appear, increasing your odds of seeing them! I would recommend Hotel Ranga to anyone. Phenomenal.

Hotel Apotek has the perfect location in Reykjavik - right in the center of downtown, walking distance to everything. Very friendly staff and GREAT rooms. Be aware, because Hotel Apotek is downtown, the parking can be very tough (no parking garage or lot). That said, the staff was willing to help me with figuring out Iceland's parking app and even brought my bags up to my room while I searched for parking. Hotel Apotek has a restaurant, and the breakfast buffet is the best I've ever had. Great choices to fill us up before exploring the city. No uber in Iceland, but the staff of Hotel Apotek helped us whenever we needed a taxi.

This was the best spa I've ever experienced in all my world travels (we've been to 15+ countries). The staff are super friendly and professional. Definitely recommend the Sky package. This is where we saw the Northern Lights. Perfect for us on our last night in Iceland. Because Sky Lagoon is on a peninsula outside Reykjavik, it's a great way to see the Northern Lights.

Was a great first stop in Iceland! Arrived in Iceland at 6a and headed straight there. Was super dark and cold and miserable outside, but the lagoon itself was warm. Staff not overly friendly, but the amentities were nice.

Amazing trip organized by Lorena. This was my fifth time down to Chile but first on an organized trip.

First, we got up high in the Andes with knowledgeable and friendly guide Sebastien…and even snuck in a hot springs visit! Then down south to rio tranquilo. 4x4 truck was the perfect rental as some of the washboards/ potholes were pretty rough on route 7. Great stay and food at “el mirador de guadal” ( cabins are highly recommended) with the chance to get up on exploradores glacier with Felipe. Marble caves were underwhelming but it was good to be out in a kayak and guide Rodrigo was great and let us go exploring.

Then down to puerto natales and into Torres del Paine national park. Great trekking. Trails well marked and easy to navigate. ( Park rangers were on strike, but didn’t affect the trip) Modified W trek with a bit of reverse O. Got onto glaciers, lakes, snow at John Garner pass. A bit of wind and some showers but great hiking weather. All self guided. Stayed at the Refugios. Just bring some snack and clothes and you’re set!
A day of rock climbing on great conglomerate near lake Sofia with fantastic guide Chalo from Boulder Natales to finish it off.
Then a bus to punto arenas and a chance to see penguins before flying back.
All connections/ flights and transfers went very smoothly. The only hiccup was the park ranger strike but really didn’t affect us and Lorena was able to alter the trip when one excursion had to be canceled.

I was nervous to use kimkim and now we are complete sold. We traveled to Barcelona, Madrid, and Mallorca for 9 days. Yuri, our travel specialist, is absolutely wonderful. He was quick to correspond and when I was nervous he reassured me on the processes. My husband didn’t know what everything we were doing on the trip. After trains, plains, and shuttle services, he said it was one of the best experience he’s ever had and grateful for this vacation. Everything was taken into consideration, and I was able to have meetings with Yuri when I had questions. He helped when we were lost on one excursion. It was our mistake, but he was able to connect us. We had shuttles, hotels, and excursions all set up for us and I was able to pick out the hotels around the areas we wanted to explore.

The hotels were in ideal locations and we walked everyplace to eat and explore. Everyone at the hotels were beyond accommodating to our needs. They made the guest experience unforgettable. We appreciate everyone's kindness to help make this trip a memorable one.

Excursions: Tapas tour (Mirko), Gothic Tour (Ann Marie), Iberico Ham class (Santi), Paella Cooking Class, and Wine Tasting. Beyond our expectations and sincerely delightful to learn from all these brilliant instructors.

H10 was perfect for our first stop in Barcelona. We liked the location it was close to the Gothic Quarter. It was quiet but close to businesses if you wanted it. The morning breakfast was delicious and lots of choices. The wait staff always had a smile on their face and helped us through the menu. They entire team met us with such kindness, explained where to explore on the map, helped us with some laundry that needed to be done, and gave us recommendations on where to have some local wines. We couldn't have asked for a better place.

This was towards the last part of our stay. It's a beautiful hotel in downtown Barcelona. It's a great hotel and is super busy. They have a great bar and room service and if you need anything such as groceries are right across the street. The room was a little hot so having the balcony door opened helped. What I learned is that when the AC is on in a hotel it's on for everyone. So when it's turned off and it's winter the heat is on. You can't regulate your own room. This is on all the hotels I stayed in. With that said, then you have a window open. If the noise of outside doesn't bother you then you are fine. I can sleep like that and most people can. This hotel had a great and friendly staff. You can go outside and get anything you need. Everyone is super friendly.

LOVE the hotel! This was towards the end of our Spain tour and what a surprise. The beautiful architecture of the hotel, the sauna, and the roof top terrace were just some of the perks in this hotel. Watching the sunset while having a glass of wine before heading to dinner was one of the most memorable times of our trip. The staff was absolutely kind and helpful. We loved talking to them and they helped us through every part of our stay. We only wish it would have been longer.

Loved 7 Islas Hotel. It's in a location that is easy to walk around and lots of fun tapas restaurants. They gave us great recommendations for places to eat and would call ahead for reservations for us. This place has little clutter and minimalist which was perfect for us. The downstairs bar had fantastic drink and our bartender who works all the time was so kind to us. If you have a chance, try the apple crumble dessert with a cappuccino (so yummy).

Unique and different from the other hotels and I love that it wasn't a replica of other places.

This was a little more busy than our other stay but the hotel was quiet when we came in so it was perfect. Close to shopping and dining.

Absolutely fantastic. There was one restaurant they recommended that had the best dinner (pork, mushrooms, and sweet potatoes dish) and wine out of our entire stay in Madrid.

Tucked away at a beautiful estate, is a little slice of heaven. We tried different wines, walked around a beautiful estate, and learned about their new wines and projects. This family has been making wines for decades but did it for trade. They made the wines to barter and trade on their island they live on. Now, this is newer and they are bottling their wines. It's just a serene time with yummy tapas and wine.

This was such a great class! We thought it was a private class and it ended up being a group class which ended up being a blast! Our instructor, Angel was so knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. We took a trip to the market and learned about what to buy for our paella, dessert, and also Sangria. We all worked together but also made some delicious food that we can try and recreate at home. Delicious food, conversation, and drinks! They also send you home with the recipes.

Santiago (Santi) was such a great instructor! We learned so much and had the best Iberico ham tasting. The quality of pigs, how they are raised and how you will have different taste from the same pig. We learned that this is an art and it takes years of experience to understand. We learned that this is only from Spain and which one to choose next time we are out dinning. Such a great experience.

Ann Marie was a perfect guide! She showed us all around The Gothic Center and much more. We were able to go into stores, museum, and the chapel. She accommodated our request for tour and adjusted as needed. She is a wealth of knowledge and we didn't know how much history was surrounding us until we were done. What's cool is we weren't expecting to get what we received and it was a lot of unexpected history and information that we are grateful to learn and appreciate the culture a lot more. Loved our tapas event. Mirko was a great tour guide. Our first thought was to go out eat, drink, and watch flamenco dancing. We were so tired from our trip and he adjusted to our energy. We saw places we would have never visited and wen't back another time too because we loved it so much. We went to three different restaurants and learned about the different types of food, culture, and how the area is divided up. We were so glad to meet him and he was the start of our 9 day trip.

Everything was set up ahead of time. They had a table when we arrived. If we needed anything, Mirko helped us or got it for us. He would call ahead before the next restaurant so they would be ready for us. We learned about what we were eating and what was a common dish in the area. Such a great treat!

It was a wonderful trip organised by Mrs. Megan Lower. We really had a memorable experience and would arrange another holiday back in Morocco with Megan as well as the excellent driver Mr. Mohammed. From picking us up from the airport till he dropped us off from the airport, Mr. Mohammed was always curtious and on time; gave us lots of guidance on how, where, when, who questions we had as well as having great knowledge about the geology of the routes we encountered which I was particularly interested in. His english and french were of fluent level which was also important. Because it is a trip that includes lots of road time, I would think of the option of having Land-Rover (ours was a Toyota) to be driven in for some parts of the trip that includes the hills and off road for the next time. What a perfectly orchestrated trip.
The hotels were great overall - comfortable, good locations, lovely hosts. The 16 Lakes guesthouse was neat with a delightful host. Valamar Resort was a treat, great island, food and surroundings. The Zicara apartment at the end was especially perfect in timing and location - we had a comfortable cozy stay and an opportunity to decompress from a busy whirlwind 10 days.
Highlights of our trip: oyster tasting, hikes in the national parks, interesting castles, Mostar visit, Ston wine-tasting, Split harbour and Dubrovnik walls.
Bruno went above and beyond in every aspect of our stay. As a dedicated guide, he made our trip personal, informative, and varied. Bruno passed along his love for and excitement about the country of Croatia. Goran with the boat trip to the Elaphiti Islands was also perfect as a guide, historian and conversationist. Our thanks to Robbie and both of these guides who managed our Croatian itinerary and visit so enjoyably.

Walk up to viewpoint and old town, Hotel Marul staff were delightful.

I wanted to go to Iceland and had no idea how to plan the trip. Janel did a great job of putting together a trip for my son and me that was just about perfect! Kimkim was so responsive, even helped us make changes once we wee in the country. We got to snorkel, ice caves were perfect and Blue Lagoon on the last day was the perfect end to a beautiful trip.

Iceland is like a dream land - it has a different beauty with glaciers, abundance of waterfalls and black sand beaches. Our trip was planned out by Lisbet with all the spots we wanted to visit in our short 5 days. Everything was very well lined up and Lisbet’s restaurant and cafe recommendations were spot on!
The overall experience was good but I would only recommend that Lisbet could have kept in touch with us while we were in Iceland. Iceland weather is very unpredictable and we were cautioned to not drive if there were high wind gusts - which was the case on our Day 2 and we were left a bit unsure of the trip. Another point we felt has scope of improvement - was the hotel at Hella. We were literally the only family in the whole hotel.

Everything went as planned, from the airport pickup to the departure after 8 days. The Riads were quite good, the breakfast excellent and above all the assistance and coordination by our driver Mohammed, was awesome. We did have a little issue with the hotel at Casablanca, on the last night, with the aircon not cooling, but it was too late for us to involve Hakim to intervene. The guides were quite adequate and of course, the weather and roads cooperated! Great trip, something to remember.
